We might be relocation to the area and I'm trying to get real information. I've been searching online all day and can find very little. What are the schools like? Does the high school have a good band, track, soccer program? Is there a lot of crime? What is the town like? Is there grocery stores, walmart etc? Are people nice to "outsiders?" If not Borger, where would be better...in that same area? Thanks in advance.

I have lived in Borger my whole life. I do not know if you have many kids, but recently the elementary school system has integrated from 3 schools to one giants one. Traffic by the school is a hassle, which is my neighborhood but i cant really speak on how the school programis currently as i have been out of school for 3 years.

Grocery stores include United Supermarket, Lowe's Supermarket, Wal Mart.

Crime is located in certain areas, North Borger is rough, mainly from Main and 10th street to Florida st is what to avoid if possible. Bunavista which is 3 mile east towards Amarillo has become pretty dangerous. I recommend By the school or out in Fairlanes addition.

The high school programs are decent, not great, but fair. They excel in Band, and choir. Sometimes a good class comes and track is good but football has been declining in the coming years

I have lived here 21 years.

Crime is all over because the town has been taken over by illegal immigrants.

All that's left is Phillips/ Conoco.

Walmart and one United grocery. The other store is so filthy it's not worth mentioning.

Downtown shopping is pitiful.

Amarillo Texas would be a lot better choice.
