COPS:$10K THIEF HAD PERSONAL PROBLEMS THEFT BY BANK TELLER: SIX-YEAR
COMMUNITY BANK EMPLOYEE EMBEZZLED MONEY ALL AT ONCE, POLICE SAY
The Lowville woman who in one day allegedly embezzled $10,000 at Community Bank N.A. in Black River explained when confronted about the theft that she hoped the cash would help her with personal problems, according to court documents.
Elsa L. Bush, 33, of 7564 Church St., apparently had spent $7,640 when the bank asked her to explain her actions 10 days after the theft.
Miss Bush was arrested by state police Thursday on a charge of third-degree grand larceny. She was
