Somebody keeps deleting this, so I'll keep posting it. It's a legit news story and people need to know what's going on in town. ATTEN: Keep deleting, I'll keep posting..

From themoose.net
The owner of a Village of Boonville business was charged with the sale and possession of synthetic marijuana. Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol reports that 69 year old Thomas Seymour of Lowville, the proprietor of "The Sporting Edge" was charged as a result of an incident that occurred on July 27th on the grounds of the Oneida County/Boonville Fair where a juvenile stated that he was not feeling well due to the effects of smoking the substance. Sheriff's Department Personnel who were stationed at the event conducted an investigation into the incident, which led them to Seymour and his business. While there, a quantity of synthetic marijuana was located and later confiscated. Seymour was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Village of Boonville Court at a later date.

Yes, twice now threads about this have been deleted. I heard you can have them deleted but it cost money.......who do you think is paying for that? The last thread was pretty good.......a "friend" of his tried to say what a wonderful guy Tom Seymour is and is just trying to make a living like the rest of us! WELL, I don't sell drugs to make a living, and even worse to underage kids! Must be the truth hurts! They need to shut down both stores in Boonville that sell this stuff......don't let the owners get away with it! Selling alcohol is legal, but not to minors, so the punishment for selling ILLEGAL drugs to a minor should be twice the punishment!!

What gets me is the fact that he was given an appearance ticket returnable to Village of Boonville Court. You've gotta be kidding me? Who arraigned the guy? Why wasn't he put in jail right away? That's bull! And while we are at it...since the Boonville Trustees put the law into effect in early July, why haven't our village PD gone into the store to see what he was selling? They are too busy catching people not wearing seatbelts insteading of dealing with the drug problem. My humble opinion for whatever it's worth.

all I can say is if he gets away with a slap on the wrist they might as well throw the law out of the window! He should be in jail! It 's time something was done!

Well, if you let one store get away with it you might as well give the other one permission to sell whatever they want!

I don 't know who you are talking to, but my kids are all grown up and don 't live around here, AND they don 't have a drug problem. I do worry about all the kids growing up in Boonville though. I used to live there and still know a lot of people there.

What is your problem? Are you the owner of the other store?
As I see it, there is one down and one to go!

Get rid of both of them cause they are probably in competition to see who can sell the most. I can't believe Boonville allows these stores in their town anyways. It used to be a good place to live. Let drugs in and not try to run them out and it will turn into a sh*t hole! Why isn't anyone doing anything about it?

It 's time every parent in Boonville stood up and said "NO MORE! ". Clean the town up! Rid Boonville of the scum selling all drugs. It 's time the cops stopped turning a blind eye to it all. If people are seeing what is going on why aren 't they?

i agree if we all protest more people wont want to be seen going in those places. if they see cops going in and out they might loose buisness and close.
if you cut his supply the demand will go else where.
and im writing on here today to make sure this is still on the top..

Wow, you people, hahaha....
Tom wont spend a minute in jail, he is a 70 year old diabetic with other health issues on top of that. It would cost the county too much money to lock him up! Besides if they did you'd just bi*ch that "your tax dollars are being wasted on housing a criminal". You're the type of people who are not happy unless there is drama and you have something or someone to talk about! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
Get a life seriously, and have a wonderful day :)

(FRIEND) You are kinda right if he does go to jail we will bitch about paying for him to eat 3 meals a day free medical care cable tv and even free baby sitters so he dont get beat up in jail.
But that is because some people cant afford 3 meals medical care or even sitters for there children and it pisses some people off that the guilty get all this stuff and the people who are busting their asses legally to support there families support scum like him in jail.
so yes we are judgemental and even critical about it.
but knowing how things go he will get a fine and be back in business ready to make his living off drugs again..justice for the guilty...
