I purchased two windows,a storm door and an exterior door from Barrier. I find the workmanship and material fine, but BEWARE of the salemen. They lie about the financing and anything else they can think of. They are HIGH-PRESSURED liers.

I worked for Barrier Window in the office..right with the owner and her son. These people are the biggest scam artest I have ever seen. Was embarrassed to work there but needed the money. They will feed off the elderly and take advantage. They take advantage of anyone and everyone possible. Their "custom made" windows are from Alside. The same company that provides windows to every other window company around. If you turn them down...they will cut the price. They will cut the price over and over again...because the windows only cost about 10% of what they are charging you for. Half the installations done are half ass and are not finished half the time. I took the phone calls for the repairs...There were more problems that not. The company is a JOKE but the owners are billionares thanks to thier scamming ways!

I purchased Windows from this company in May of 2009. I had some minor issues with them, which they addressed quickly. I have not had any issuues with their PRODUCT since. The issue I have is with their unrelenting, unstoppable telemarketing. They never stop calling no matter how many times you get on the "Do Not Call" list. Though I have no isssues with their product I would never purchase anything from them again because of this constant intrusion on my life

If you hire them then you need to get a reality check. Everyone knows about them. Don't walk, run from them.

I too worked for them years ago. Sounds like they have not changed. The "Iron Maiden" also put unrealistic goals on my desk every day I was there.
I left in less than a month. I am amazed that this company is still in business. Perhaps they believe in the old saying, "A sucker is born every moment?"
And do you know what? After reading posts on here, their approach is obviously working! There is also an agency called better business bureau I believe, and you may want to ask them how to stop this company's incessant calling. Otherwise, block their number. This is a form of harassment.

By the time I'm done paying for my $11000.00 windows I will have paid $19000.00.

Needed siding for our house, thought " what the heck, let someone else measure" Guy shows up w/o a tape measure. Price is $53,000 "retail", then it goes to $31,000 and after sales rep leaves, "office " calls me to inform me that manager has further lowered the price and I informed sales rep that I want your best price the 1st time. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!!!
I did have Barrier Windows install "Cedar Ridge" composite siding on my house. First of all, they told me that Barrier was the sole installer of the "Cedar Ridge" style of composite siding. While that is basically true, they fail to tell you that the siding manufacturer sells an identical style called "Oracle" to any distributor (the only difference is the name). Then they reduced the price by over $3000 to sucker me in. The siding installer (subcontracted to Barrier) did a decent job except for one flaw that was covered up by the door bell button. He split one small section of siding, but the Barrier manager that came to view the complaint said that the installer didn't do anything wrong. Then he said "have a nice day" and left me hanging after a 5 minute visit. BARRIER DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BARRIER!

An absolute scam. Installed siding with promises of 24 hour warranty coverage. The quality siding shown to us by the salesman was drastically different than the stuff installed. Trim cracked in several places and the company had me calling around to find replacements. When I realized there was going to be no replacement, I called them and they gave me hostile obnoxious shit about it. Do no do not don not go to this company for any reason at all.

We had barrier come to our house last night to give us a quote to replace 24 windows. 18,000 then rep. says we can do for 12,000 and we'll throw in 2 doors. Sound too fishy to me. Won't be dealing with them.

Just had a salesman as the home not they get a salary, with no milage and only points for commision not sure how the points work but do lose points if the order is cancelled.
Listen up wrote:
The reason the cost so much is because of the quality you receive! Ever hear of you get what you pay for? Yes, windows (uninstalled) are far cheaper at Lowe's or Home Depot, but add the cost for installation etc the price shoots way up. They also come with a 50 YEAR WARRENTY so if a UFO comes crashing through your window, they will come and repair or replace it. Secondly, the reason the price drops significantly is because the salesmen have authority to reduce the price to a certain percentage; however the salesmen drastically loses their commission -which is the only pay Barrier salesmen receive. No gas money, no hourly wage. Nothing! Just commission.

Lol ive been reading the stuff on this sight. All the bad things people say about barrier are true. I worked for them for a year as a sales rep tom kaulback has u lie to the customer to get them to buy as well as the owner tony when u cccall for a 3rd party call witch that call heelps u close the deal and make the sale. The prices are high ive sold a wwindow for 2500 and sold the same on for 400. Witcch if a sales rep drops the price he will make less in a commission. For ex i sold 6 windows for 14000a dollars i made about a 2500 dollar comission on the sale. Now if i sold the 6same windows for 2400 i make a comission of 120 dollars. Yes they rip u off barrier lies to u barrier has there sales reps lie to u. And u ccant blam the sales rep because the sales rep dont even know if tom kaulback and tony are lieing when u do a 3rd party call and u have to repeat after them and tell the customer what they are saying to close the deal. And well tom and tony will lie to get the deal closed. I sold a job for 15000a and when i did my 3rd party call tom kaulback said tell them there payment will be 50a bucks a month. That was a lie i came to find out. Barrier windows should be shut down and indited on charges for consumer rip offs. Stay away from barrier

Barrier windows lies about everything they have there sales reps lie to customers. And the sales rep dont even know they are lieing to customers. Barrier makes money on lies if barrier didnt lie to customers barrier would be broke. Dont buy windows from them and dont work for them. I left barrier bc they o me over 20000u dollars in comissions witch they never payed me. Witch i say give it to the customers u lied to to get them to sign the contract.

I allso worked there and barrier had me lie to customers as well. I would call for a 3rd party call and tom kaulback would lie his ass off to close the deal for me. I never new tom was lieing to the customer even as a sales rep working for them i beleaved what tom was saying. Come to find out it was all lies. Lies to close the deal so barrier makes more money. Stay away from barrier windows ive seen first hand what barrier windows can do. And there are happy customers out there from barrier but they still payed way to much and was still lied to in some way. Or u got rock bottom price for the windows siding or doors witch is 350u a squair of sideing or 350do a window installed witch would make me happy as well. They allso have people but good things about barrier on a web sight to make barrier look good
