The bible says all people were created equal, right? Well, in reality, that couldn't be more false. The recent death of David Curtiss seems to be just floating around in some file somewhere. Supposedly, the cop that shot Dave in the back is back on duty, but can't carry a tazer or a gun. He was noticed tonight(riding with another police officer)at a routine traffic stop leaned over the "civilian's truck!"WTF! Whyy is his crime going unnoticed? And I've been hearing on here that Dave was on dope. So, what? You smoke pot? Cause if you do, theo BPD,(even though it's legal in some states) is not legal here in MS. And believe me, the law here considers that dope. So, you've just smoked a joint one day, your at your own home, and you get in a fight with a sibling or significant other, and they just so happen to call the law on you. The cops come for a domistic disturbance charge, and you turn your back and you get shot(either with a tazer or a gun). What if it were you or your family memeber. Would you worry that it might use our taxpayer money to put that cop in jail. Hopefully, you consider that injustice because justice has not been served. And David and this insident will never be forgotten. It's bad when the average Joe would've been in jail right after if not shot for killing a police officer. But, Rusty, stands free. He was suppose to do hiss job, serve and protect. He could have shot Dave in the arm or leg if he thought him a threat, but no. And let's not bring up JFK's magic bullet theory where the bullet magically loges in his back. No, he had his back turned and for some reason beyond everyone that would like to know the truth, he roams free. Where's the justice?

Really? Shot him in the arm or leg? You sir have never had and military or law enforcement training. If you are FORCED to shoot, you shoot to kill. And JUSTiCE was served. A man came at a cop trying to do harm to him, after trying to stab neighbors and family, and the threat was eliminated. The only thug sad here is that all this family that's outraged wasn't there to help the man to begin with. Now they want a hand out for the aftermath

No offense to any men and women that are fighting for our country. I have great respect, and appreciate for them, but.... this is was not warefare. I could run an obstacle course and take a test, and you know what, I would have a badge too. NO, maybe in the military they teach you to shoot when shot upon. Let me remind you again, that's in war. This man was at his house in front of his children, and was shot. Do you call that a war zone? Cause if it is, I'm bout to run for my bomb shelter cause there's tons more justice to be served. Justice was not served that day, and until Rusty McCoy goes to prison for shooting a man, it still won't. Let the average JOE have done what he did, and let's see where would he be....I'm thinking.....JAIL, MAYBE! Know what your talking about before you write warefare things. Because our soldiers, like I said, shot when their shot upon!

The theory that all men are created equal came from thomas jefferson in the declaration of independence, and is not in the Bible. It would seem that most of Mr.Curtiss's friends know very little about the Bible, history,or the law.

I change my previous position on the matter. Justice was served. And putting your last name on here dont mean sheeeet to anyone except the ones looking for a handout. Instead of sending money to help for the funeral of a thug, I sent money to the thin blue line organization and I purchased a bullet to replace the one that was wasted. Fahk off weak want money handed out lil thug. Now, where is that cocka doodle do I was slurping on?

With all due respect you need to check your information. You speak as if this was the ONLY time the authorities had been called to this residence. Calls were made repeatedly, not only the night in question, but in the past. There was constantly issues with the family calling for help. I just dont understand why the family did not get help for Mr Curtiss's problems. If they had reached out and taken action, such as hospital confinement, we would not be having these conversations. They could have at any point in time had him commited and seek the appropriate help. It is called proactive instead of reactive.

O. U mean military are thought to DEFEND themselves? Just like the officer did. Thank you. You helped make my point. Like you would no much. What did you do in the Corp? I bet a you washed and pealed taters. Mabey even road a boat with the Navy and feed them.
And stop calling suicide by cop, murder. Two totally different things.

Only smoked a little dope? Thats the craziest statement I have seen yet regarding this... Just get into a fight one day and the law called...Holy Hell...another insane statement. All these ppl bitching about needing the truth to come out seem to want to put him in sainthood. All you caring family and friends that have sooo much to say now just why the hell didnt yall take care of the issue instead of calling the police. Why didnt yall caring ppl commit him somewhere to get help..Yall have a bunch of opinions to say now but none of yall cared enough to deal with him and his demons when he was alive.

I dont understand why people wanna get on here and talk about someone and put them down. Especially a dead man. Who cares what he did? Whether he smoked dope, or whatever. Im sure everyone on this page is no saint and has smoked their fair share of ALOT of things so why cant you people just leave it alone and let this family grieve over the loss of thier loved one. I am sure the truth will come out about what happened. It always does. Yall need to get a life and stop worrying about everyone eles life. Its none of anyones business.

I agree Joe. I knew both personally. Dave did a lot of wrong is his day. He always lived on the edge and for the next high. It's sad but thats how that life style always ends. Too short and sudden

It won't be my family. We stay sober. We don't beat our wives and have the police called on us. And if we do encounter the law we so them respect and and they do the same to us. We thank them for doing the difficult job they do. And if they gave us a lawful command we will obey it. Not charge then like a retard waving our hands with weapons asking for it.

I'll second that. I've lived here a long time. Never been in any trouble because I don't do bad stuff. Been pulled over a few times, but I'm a grown man and I'll admit I deserved it. The cops have always been very professional and respectful.

"Don't START nuthin and there won't BE nuthin!" Curtiss started something and the cops finished it!
