How stupid. Beer is legal in most of country other than here. But that doesn't mean it is legal to drive after consuming it. I agree Booneville needs to grow. However it will never until the small little minds put in charge by idiots, grow. Until it is worthy of bigger minds taking control I don't predict many will be willing to attempt to run Boonevegas capital of small mind Mississippi. Lol

Fyi - wouldnt you like for the chilldlren to actually have small town worthy of living in if it grew and offered opportunities? It could still be nice place and actually provide people chances to live. Tupelo does. Oh wait why do so many of you hippocrits shop down there if beer is awful to look at on shelves being sold? Because you don't want people to know how much you buy then pretend you are a perfect example of christian. Isn't a christian a person who isn't afraid to look sin in the face and defeat it by turning your back and showing the way for others to follow? It is not portraying a image that is a lie. I suppose some might not know that. Be a leader and read for yourself and follow your heart not blind direction by another hippocrit.

What about medical marijuana? You do realize the proof of the caniboids (and no this won't get you high) cures cancer. Also hemp is a fast renewable resource that can be used from making paper (saves the trees) to making clothes and more? Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Well it could be good place to live. As it is right now it is good place to die jmo. Bring life to Booneville!

I agree stormywillow, however most people are ignorant and refuse to get their knowledge from anywhere other than media. God put that on Earth to help cure sickness it's a plant! It isn't manufactured like other things which include alcohol. You are only told it's bad because you government thinks they cant control it like alcohol. Anything can be abused even Tobacco, that doesn't mean punish the abused item, punish the abuser.

Seriously??? Weed does not need to be
!! That is giving people the right to drive under the influence. And before y'all start bashing me saying it ain't no big deal, I got news for you. I have been there and done that!! I ain't no saint just lucky I quit before I got caught or even worse before I killed someone. Its bad enough that alcohol is legal in Mississippi. Why do people want to add to the problem? I hear several say well it will bring in more revenue. Life is more important than money!!! Some of y'all just need to smoke some weed and see if it don't help the quality of yo mutha fuckin life I understand if u ain't smokin weed cause u got a good job then by all means make your paper boo boo but if u ain't got no job and u ain't smokin weed I really don't know what the fuck you are doin with your life..don't give me that shit about its a drug it ain't no mutha fuckin drug I done the research it's just a plant it grow like that and if you should just happen to set it on fire there are some effects lol

Wtf are you doing copying my post? I used to smoke it. It does alter your way of thinking. It is a plant but a lot of drugs are made from plants so do a little more research yourself. You just go on and smoke that mess all you want. I won't be doing it anymore and I dam* sure won't be voting for it to be legalized.

You have to add some other things to opium and cocaine. You just let Mary Jane dry out.

Legalization wouldn't be the end of the world. However, there isn't any equipment like breathalyzers or an inexpensive way to measure THC levels in the user's blood. Imagine this: 1. Prentiss county was wet, 2. The police officers did not have a breathalyzer to determine if a driver was too inebriated to drive. 3. Laws did not clarify a blood alcohol content that would be a "cut-off" for anyone to drive safely. I myself would not want to be on the road. If these problems are solved, then it could almost be a good thing(aka new businesses and one less thing for drug dealers to profit from). The active ingredient in marijuana is tetrohydrocannibinol. It is a molecule(drug) that interacts with you brain to produce the "high" that people buy marijuana for. It's all just a matter of acceptance by the public. Ethyl alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, etc. they are all things our body doesn't need to survive but people ingest them because they like the effect they have on their mood and mind. Society is gradually trending toward becoming more accepting of marijuana legalization. I just hope that the people that do use it do so responsibly and moderation. But we all know that won't happen. Many COPD and lung cancer patients that still smoke, alcoholics with hepatitis that still drink to excess everyday, and inebriated people that still get behind the wheel of the car. That's just human nature for you.
