Justin Thomas was one of the best people I have ever known. Justin knew no strangers and could make anyone laugh. Justin was so easy to talk to and had a simple way of putting things in perspective. I will never forget you Justin Thomas and your memory will live in the hearts of many. I wish I could see you one last time and remind you just how much you mean to me. I may not have known you for long but you left a lasting impression on me. This has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with and I pray for his family and closest friends. Justin once told me he was known far and wide and an event such as this shows he was known and loved all over. I will miss you and all of our good times I don't think we ever held a conversation that I didn't tell you I thought you were crazy. Justin was amazing and I will really miss his friendship. Justin was such a happy person who believed in adventure! I can't wait to see him again someday.

Slim Thomas was the best friend I ever had. This has been the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with in my life. Not a day went by that I didn't get to talk to him. I loved him so much and I will honestly never forget him. His smile, his laugh, and the way he looked at you with those big brown eyes is something I will remember for the rest of my life. He was so smart and cared so much for other people. He had a good heart and was all around a great guy. A true "go getter" as he would say, he had big plans for his future. There wasn't a person that he met that he didn't make a lasting impression on. He always made me feel like the most important person in the world, and he did the same for every person he talked to. I'd say he is in heaven right now chasing every good looking girl he can find. lol. That's just how he was though, and that's one of the reasons I loved him so much. We had been through everything in the world together and I can't imagine dialing his number and him not picking the phone up. I wish I could tell him one last time how much I cared about him & loved him. I can't believe he is gone. That boy will forever be in my heart, and the hearts of many, and that is something no accident of tragedy can ever take away.
RIP Slim.
I am looking forward to the day I get to see your smile and hear your laugh again.
I will forever love you with all of my heart "little buddy".

The memorial is at the corner of Shepherds Lane and Hwy 30 East in the yard where he crashed. It is just before the Owsley County Saddle Club. The house sits over in a bottom.
