I was at the Fiscal Court meeting last night and it was a joke watching them argue over a bridge being put in Owsley and not much being said about having a pain clinic in the county. Henely McIntosh can say what he wants to but he is all for it. For just like he said last night if there was no drugs in Owsley he would not have much of a job. We need to have this stopped from coming into our County!!!

Just a business. Anyone can start a business. I agree we do not need a pain clinic, but realistically how do you decide who and who cannot start a business, After all it is all about money.

It's a legal shady, go sit at the car wash and see who go's in & out at Kim's Office every day. 80% are druggies that are not in pain. They destroy things for the people who are really in pain, but without them, Dr's cant make it on the 20% of people. Do you got a clue what goes on with the pill's around here, no you dont. This pain clinic will be a huge increase in narcotic's in the county. If it could be stoped it would be the wisest thing this county could ever do. Pain Clinic, what a joke, thats what we get here, STOP IT.

No, but you are. It will be bringing UNNECESSARY AMOUNTS of prescription drugs in to the county. It won't provide any jobs b/c the people of the county won't be qualified to work there. They would bankrupt the facility by robbing them blind. In Owsley County the last thing that needs to be there is a pain clinic. We do not need any more Oxy's, hydrocodone, percocet or any other narcotic that alleviates pain to be easily available and resold on the street. Do you even know how pain clinics work? The majority of them will give you as much of whatever you want. Why do you think people from Booneville travel to Florida? They do it so they can legally obtain their oxy's at a reasonable price. It will do nothing but increase the number of oxy's available to the addicts. Traffic from not just all over the state, but all over the country will be rolling in, in droves. When the drug problem is as bad as it is in Eastern KY the lat thing it needs is another way to obtain them. This will be disasterous.

It's obvious from Owsley as well as the rest of the world, drug prohibtion laws work about as well as a screen door on a submarine, but there is nothing stopping the people who don't want it there from picketing it continually...

For the moment we still have the 1st amendment...

On the other hand if they are operating within the fed, state, county and city laws they have just as much right to do business as the Diner does...

Hows that alcohol sales prohibition working out in Owsley?

I guess that keeps anybody from drinking there huh?

Baldy---- Saw you sitting at the car wash! Why don't you arrest the druggies if you know who they are? Do your job and quit whining on topix.
