Carolina West Wireless has cheated me out of my cellular contract. They are not a good company to do business with. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. The salesperson lied. When confronted with this, they cancelled my contract! Now I have to proove that I didn't ask for the disconnect or they will ruin my credit. They went from an unlimited plan for $120 a month to $350 a month. If you are thinking of buying this service, DON'T. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I have found the staff in the sales offices to be poorly trained and supervised. I had a serious problem with them a year and a half ago and found if I demanded to speak to a supervisor I got results. After speaking with a very helpful lady in the main office at West Jefferson my difficulties were cleared up. Call the people up there and ask for help. Be sure to be polite and professional and you'll get help a lot better than raising hell at them. Keep us posted.

The in store service sucks. You have to wait forever just to ask a simple question.

I haven't had a single problem with Carolina West at all. They've always been helpful and courteous and I think they do very well for a small cellular company. Every cellular company has it's problems.

The guys at Carolina West have always been courteous and helpful when I've needed service. I never had to "wait forever just to ask a simple question." I'm sure they have bad days (like all of us), but I've been pleased with the service I've received.

Carolina west is the best service anywhere! PERIOD! Anyone would be crazy not to get the unlimited talk and text with no contract. The 50.00 that I spend every month would cost me a small fortune anywhere else with the minutes I talk. However, I have had some small problems with getting in touch with the store and the reps. do not seem to be trained very well. I have never had a call dropped and get great reception.

I've been with Carolina West almost since the day they opened in Boone. I was on Cellular One before that and Sprint and Centel before that. My mobile experience goes back to 1969 in the early days of mobile radio phones. I've been better satisfied with Carolina West (so far) than any other carrier I've used. I've know several of their local reps for the many years they've waited on me. They are quite knowledgeable, as well as helpful. Can't say that they've ever not done what they promised UNLIKE Cellular One. And while the Boone store is, more often than not, usually exceptionally busy, I've found the reps there to be reasonably well versed on their products and services as well as courteous and helpful to everyone. I think the fact that the
Boone store is usually busier than Verizon or AT&T Boone stores is a testament to their popularity with most local folks. I know from experience that you can't please all of the people all of the time. I've even had issues with them over the years which were taken care of and satisfactorily resolved. So I'm not too shocked to hear of someone who doesn't like them. But the claim that they will cheat everybody because you had a bad experience (with no details to back it up) is a little over the top. And contrary to what I know and usually hear from long time CW customers. Besides, I've never done business with them where virtually everything was reduced to writing and initialed or signed by me. Did you read your contract?

Carolina West has traditionally had the best High Country coverage available and probably still does. Verizon is catching up, though, but only through the leasing arrangement they have with Carolina West. And the local independent Verizon store people are nice, too. I can speak about both becauee we have service with both companies.

The salesmen/women are not professional in aspect. They talk to everyone as a friend, which is fine. However whenever I ask a question very few of them can answer. The service itself is alright as long as im in town. I used to live in Florida with this service and it did great, now that I'm back its been lacking. The texting ( which I pay monthly for) is terrible, most texts don't reach the other end, and the phones are very cheap(ly made). Overall a 3/10

My wife and I are on a share plan and pay for text. The texting is horrible. They never show up and when they do they are duplicates which end up showing on the bill. Voice is fine but we are thinking about switching. I wonder if not getting what I pay for is enough to get out of our contract.

Jon, look into unlimited texting. It's worth it if you do a lot of texting. And if you disagree with anything on your bill, don't be aafraid to complain. And don't go to the store to compalin. They don't know anything. Just call 611.

i have had this service for only a week and my texting is horible i dont get half of them my picture messages wont even go through and i pay for unlimited text i would not recommend this service if you wont to text

I had Carolina WORST Wireless for almost 10 years before I finally got smart and let my contract end and switched to Verizon. I have been with Verizon for almost a year I guess and I LOVE it. The reason the Verizon store isnt as busy as CWW is because there service isnt crappy and people dont have to go in and complain all the time and wait for days for service. I would never go back to CWW. I have been very pleased with Verizon and love all the features and service. CWW was the worst. Bad service, phones, employees. Bad all around. Just horrible.

I got both a CWW and Verizon. The only down side to V is if it breaks and has to be repaired or replaced you have to go down to Hickory to get it taken care of. On the other hand my wife's battery died a few weeks ago and CWW gave her a new one at no charge in Boone. I guess the economy has made them more customer friendly.

I tried to have my mini laptop hooked up to internet today with a Franklin wireless connection card. I spent an hour and a half in the Boone store with an employee who obviously didn't know what she was doing. I not only could access the internet when I left the store, but she also had me hooked up to a contract for the next thirty years. It was wasted time. I left the store with a debit of 133.00 and a credit...I hope. She didn't know how to do it. The manager couldn't even help...didn't know what they were doing. Ditto just horrible.

Working Princess...Hey this is the sales rep to whom you say didnt know what I was doing...I had nicely said I was sorry.... I do not know what else I could have done. It was a mistake that I found as soon as the paperword printed and I had corrected the problem.(30 yr contract) We even laughed about it!! And before you left you had the reciept in hand that the money was returned to you card. I do know how to hook up aircards...I have done several in the office. I really wished you have personally said something to me instead of posting this on the internet if you were upset. We normally try to do credits in that case. People do not appreciate being talked about. Esp when they have no control over things. The data was down that day and I was not notified. I promise if I didnt know what I was doing I wouldnt have worked on it as long as I did. Even with a store full of customers who were waiting to be helped while I worked on your computer. We have no help in Boone...Our employees are constantly new because of people coming into the store and yelling at us because of problems. We understand you may have a problem. You will get more from us by being nice about things, but there is only so much we can do. We really wont try and help you out if you are treating us bad. Why would we want to help someone who just was mean to us. Made us feel like the smallest person in the world. We are not the bad people.If you have a problem we do try our best or I do personally. The main office only allows us to do so much. I could go on but this just isnt worth is. Look people if you have a problem...Tell us up front...

How unprofessional could you possibly be? You the employee are on here posting. Give me a break. Now I know why I dont use CWW anymore. Yes this is a public forum but I work too and I would not be on here posting about my customers even if they did post about me. WHY you say, well because it is unprofessional. Who do they hire there. You have got to be kidding me, I still cant believe you did that. My 10 year old knows better.

Yes, I agree. Employees shouldn't post on here about their job, especially responding to someone who is complaning on here. I'm sure the supervisor of "Rep" would agree with me on this. I also know an employee from the Boone office of Carolina West. She posted on her Facebook wall that a customer hit her new car and drove off. She then stated that the guy was a customer, and she got his information from her work. That is VERY unprofessional. And I'm sure it violates company policy, and probably some state laws. I probably shouldn't put her name on here, but it begins With an "R" and rhymes with Reva.

no but he was a customer at carolina west so I got all his information at work...and he comes in there about every month so i know him pretty well...hes a little on the dumb side...but you would think hes something...he wears a suit and seems to be a business man...Write a comment...

hey everyone! Yeah "rep" that was uncalled for...You really need to learn to take complaints. Thats something that comes with most jobs. Local guy you really didnt need to post that. If someone hit my car I would be upset too. If she knew who did it and they drove off wouldnt you search for that person. "rep" you didnt need to refer to him as an old man tho...Thats kinda harsh.

I know Reva and shes not a bad person. She is a very honest person. I have known her for several years. She needs to make her facebook private it looks like. Instead of picking on her you all need to keep her in your prayers. She is going through a really hard time right now. She has alot of medical problems. Possible cancer so leave her alone! People dont need that.

Carolina West is a sorry company. They are all very untrained and cannot keep anyone working there. Carolina used to be a honest company as well. They are not up to date on there systems and need to fix the Tx messaging problem. Im about to switch companies myself because of it. The customer service is very bad. You cant ever get a call back when promised. The Boone store is the only place I have gotten any help with. The main office you call several times and if you got one question to ask to each of them you will get a different answer. Im just going to switch carriers.

Yes, I would know who hit my vehicle. But people trust that their personal information would be kept private, and used solely for authorized reasons. If she is willing to look up s guy who hit her car, I'm sure she would be willing to look up someone if she was asked by a friend or family member. It comes down to integrity here, and apparentally, Reva has none. She has breached the trust of every customer of Carolina West Wireless.

I really dont think that you would like it if someone was on this site talking about you and saying that you had no integrity when they dont even know who you are. I know Reva and she is a very honest and trustworthy person. She helps customers out in anyway she can and goes above and beyond her job description. She is very hardworking and a very sweet girl.
Carolina West does have the best reception out of all carriers and the Boone store is very hardworking, friendly and professional.
So, please people stop talking about other people and judging other people. Most of you do not even know her and you are talking smack about her! GET A LIFE!!!
and to the "working princess" from sparta nc, everyone makes a mistake and she obviously fixed it before you left. it was not her fault that the data was down. The aircard would have worked just fine if it would not have been down. im sure things go down where you work and you dont go talking smack behind their backs do you.
so i say it again people please stop judging people, you would not want other people judging who you are when they dont even know you!
