Public safety: KCK teen dies from crash injuries

KANSAS CITY, KAN. | A 17-year-old Washington High School student in Kansas City, Kan., has died from injuries suffered in crash on Saturday. The victim was identified as Christopher N. Brown. His family removed him from life support late Tuesday, police said. The crash occurred about 10 p.m. Saturday at 86th Street and State Avenue. The driver of the vehicle that hit Brown, Eric C. Snitz, 39, has been charged with aggravated battery, driving under the influence and criminal use of a weapon for carrying a concealed firearm. eric is my biological father but i would never call him dad. for the first five years of my life i watched him beat the hell out of my mom and get high with his friends. when i was four he had a drunk driving wreck with me in the car. he is a terrible person. i was seven the last time i saw him and then i see him on the news and he has killed a kid. i just want to do what eric would never do: apologize. i'm terribly sorry for the pain that my hellspawn of a father caused for all of you.

Eric was my brother's best friend, and was considered part of my family while I was growing up. In the 30 years I have known him, he has done many horrible things (drugs,domestic violence, etc), but deep down inside I know he would never write something so horrific as the posting above. It sickens me to know that Eric has caused the death of a young man, and my heart and prayers go out to the family and friends of Christopher Brown. I do hope that justice will be served

Shame on the person that wrote the inflammatory statements about Eric. He is a close personal friend of mine and he did make those comments about this 17 year old young man. Whoever that first comment is a liar, and nothing he or she has to say is even worth wasting your time with. There are circumstances in this incident that most of you know nothing about, and in the interest in justice cannot be discussed. Eric is a sensitive and caring individual whose spirit is tormented daily with the thought of this young person's death, and the lies that are being spread by idiots like the person who wrote the first comment. As far as Mariah, you know nothing about your father except what you have been fed by your mom. All of you people who are writing junk like this are trying to make a villain out of a good person. Wait until it is your turn for people to bear false witness against you, and when it happens I hope you remember back to the day that you wrote lies in Eric's name. I'm close to your father and know for a fact that he has pictures of you hanging all over his house when you were 4 and he talks about you all the time he very much wants you to be a part of his life. Please for your sake and his get to know the person he is now and let him explain what happened.

You know you should really grow up because nobody hates Eric and if they do then they are judging him and don't even know him.Only GOD can judge anybody so check yourself.

Whoever wrote this should definately be ashamed of themselves. My father would NEVER say such things. You obviously have way to much time on your hands, so instead of putting someone you know nothing about to shame (or trying atleast) do something productive with yourself.
