I didn't place my post to cause trouble, everyone has their opinion on the subject and my opinion is a helmet law needs to be put in place.
Others have the right to put that they disagree without being rude about it...it is things such as this that causes me not to want to read forum's such as this. We share the earth and we can disagree without being disagreeable.

You may be right about how the Government should regulate every aspect of our lives, but you should think about just how it is going to affect our American way of life.
As for me, I still like freedom and justice for all and hate how the government is taking away all are rights almost overnight.
The sadist thing is how so many people that claimed to be Americans would so quickly give way all our right and would want the government to control us.
If you want helmet laws then get busy lobbing, but remember that every time citizens help the government to impose restraints you are tearing away a small piece of our freedoms.
It is getting to where the constitution is hardly worth the paper it was written on.
Also know that since over 80 percent of auto related Traumatic Brain injuries (TBA, s) occur in car accidents, so you should first start with making sure that our state requires helmets in Cars and truck as well as all other vehicles and bicycles. Let not forget golf carts either.
You would have to make it a federal law that was uniform in all states.
All cars should be fitted with the same kind of system that NASCAR uses. A real Tom Petty special system since the clear majority of TBA, s occurs in automobiles.

I'll wager that if all the promoters of NANNY laws were told that they also would have to wear a helmet inside their car, they would instantly shut up. I despise all NANNY laws, including the seat belt, cigarette, and others. People have the right to be stupid, or they used to anyway. Save your breath if you are planning on lecturing me about safety, I don't answer for other people.

Why do we need a helmet law? These bikers are grown adults, not children. They have to have a special license to even ride, so they know the dangers! It is their RIGHT to ride with or without helmet, look at the stats for car crashes and deaths in this are and then look at bike accidents. Our country was founded on FREEDOM...not political correctness or people that are clueless to set laws that are useless....helmet, seatbelt, smoking etc. Harley week brings in much needed revenue to our area, ask the bars, resturants, gas stations, camp grounds, hotels, WALMART etc. So if you dont like it, LEAVE, quite simple....I live here, I welcome them, wish it was longer and bigger! Live and Let Live.....RIDE or SHUT UP! That is what is wrong with America today is too many opinions and people tending to what others are doing instead of minding their own business, chances are if what I have wrote has ticked you off...then your one of them! Ride on Bikers...Live and let live!!!!

Who cares if they don't wear a helmet? It's their lives, they can get hurt or killed if they want to.. not trying to sound insensitive but why should we force people to worry about their own safety?
