bonne terre

I also live in Bonne Terre and it's the same as it always was. Yes it's a little town with not alot of businesses but i have lived here my whole life and would rather be here than in the city where everyone is killing eachother. There are drugs everywhere it's not just in bonne terre.

bill wrote: It's too bad to hear about bonne terre - I just bought property in terre du lac - is that area considered to be ok? any comments on the lakes there for swimming and all - since it was winter I couldn't really tell; but I heard fishing was pretty good. Terre du Lac is really nice, it is not in Bonne Terre(town). You will enjoy living there if you like the outdoor life. Swimming and fishing is great and in my opinion this village is run properly.

Terre Du Lac has been my home for about 20 years and I find the quite setting to be relaxing and peaceful. As with any small community issue do arise regarding what is better for everyone. We have found TDL to be stable neighborhood with a small town feel. We have seen a few snakes through the years but not as many as in the state parks. Home prices are stable with slow growth and that has made TDL a very desirable place to live. Some of the inital lots sold were more expensive than their current value. Does that mean we should worry? I don't think so since the population has continued to grow. One change has been people have decided to live here full time not just on vacation. Seems to indicate they like here in Terre Du Lac.

When is not having running water better for anyone? Those water bills are there right on time though! Better yet, no one seems to ever know why this happens. An honest answer would help.
