8 yr old girl touched inappropriatly in Irondale

This story horrified me (its in Sunday's Daily Journal). It scares the pee out of me and I know this happens everywhere, but I have 2 questions. Why was this 8 year old allowed to walk the streets unsupervised (she is only 8 years old)? I know Irondale is a small community and ppl look out for each other, but my goodness, 8 years old? Also, did the child know the man that did this to her? How did he get her into his house? I pray the little girl is ok and I thank God she wasn't hurt worse, or killed.

I for one know where my 8 yr old is at all times, and if she's not with me, I don't leave her with people that won't watch her as closely as I do. Why was this poor child unsupervised, or atleast with a friend? This falls back on the shoulders of her parents or caregivers. Sorry, but true.

This worries me as well. Someone on the daily journal online "comment section" said that the man took the little girl right out of a fenced in yard. Ofcourse someone debated that and i'm just wondering what is the truth in all this.

Rumors spread about the man accused, The man in question is mentally ill, and walks to the post office and back home. he does n't want to cause any problems,some think he's trouble,and many would like to see him gone from Irondale. The 8 yesr old mother should know where her child is at all times.As for the accused if he quilty than justice shall prevail

I agree, If the man did harm the little girl, then he needs punishment and or treatment. I DO NOT DEFEND ANY MAN THAT would harm children!!!! but.....the little girl should not have been in the position to get hurt like this. She WAS NOT in a fenced in yard. There are other factors involved and it wasn't the little girls fault but she should not have been in the postion for this to have happened to her.

not only was the child neglected and needed better supervision but obviously this man does as well there are sick people in this world who dont understand right from wrong and apparently dont know how to control themselves it should be our duty as concerned parents to watch out for these kind of people and prevent them from ever doing it in the first place not to make sure they are punished after they have done it that gives no compensation to the victimized child.

dont stand idly by blind these people need help and restrained before they ruin a childs life

Ignore this post i know 4 a fact they take good care of there kids.They make sure they have what they need.

small boy about 1 years old, a blonde girl about 7-8 years old and a brunnett about 7 years old, the mother is pregnant with dark hair, the boyfrind is large with dark hair.
