I'm thinking about buying some property in Lake Timberline just outside Bonne Terre. I've heard there are meth cookers living in there, I have also heard nice things.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Timberline is pretty trashy in most parts. Also the guy at the front gate isn't nice by any means. A little rude actually.

I can't really comment on the people but the whole community just seems trashy. A lot of the houses are run down, some of the roads are shit, it just seems trashy.

We have a owned a small cabin there for three years and our very happy! It is a short drive from St. Louis and there is good fishing and clean lakes. There are also lots of activities that are held throughout the year! The fourth is great with a professional firework show! There are some problems with trashy lots but there are also some very nice well kept lots! Some homes are valued over 200,000 around the main lakes. Most everyone is friendly.

Bought a place down there last year and personally think it's great. It is what it is. A place to get away and have fun, relax. Lakes are not huge but clean and the fishing has always been good for us. Swimming for the kids, ride your atv or golfcart, and just hang out with friends and have a good time. Have met a lot of people and have yet to have any problems in fact most very friendly. As for meth or anything like that we haven't experienced any issues in that area.

My fiancÚ has lived in timberline his whole life and loves it. There are some people you have to look out for like anywhere else in the world but the guards do keep people out if you don't want them there. And all in all the people there are friendly and would do anything for anyone!

I have a lot out there, There are good and bad people that are in there. I would say the people who are saying all people in there are trashy and the property more than likely dont know everyone. I have a lot in there that I am fixing up and Im not trash. I have property in terre du lac, lake timberline, and goose creek. Timberline is my favorite for fishing and activities. Terre du lac has so many rules you cant do anything in there without getting a fine. I have heard of lots of drugs but have never had any problems and the fishing is good.
