rocket roller rink

i lived in I.B. during the late 60's thru the 70's. used to go to the rocket roller rink all the time. is it still there? anyone remember the rink?

I don't think it's still there but I too lived in I.B. in the 60's & 70's. I learned to skate at Rocket Roller Rink and went to movies at the Palm Theater. I have many fond memories of that area.

Rocket closed shortly after the rink in Chula vista opened around 77-79. The building is still there, it's a dance/party hall you can rent.

I used to compete at the Rocket Roller Rink in Imperial Beach. The rink is now a party hall and appears to be very successful, however, the Rocket Rink was the best. I have many fond memories of those days and many friends I am still communicating with.
