26 Animals Rescued From Squalid SoCal Home

Dogs, a cat, a tortoise and other animals were taken after being found in a Southern California home filled with feces and debris, said San Diego County Animal Control officers.

I hope the investigation leads to some arrests because it is appalling when innocent animals have to suffer because of stupid and careless, heartless, moronic people. Thank God they got a tip from a citizen. I hope all the animals will be ok.

It is not a pre-requisite to own animals,,,,,it's considered in my opinion to be a privilege. This is utterly disgusting and maddening. I am a responsible pet owner and can not understand for the life of me,,,,,WHY??????

Even a child with a new pet will take responsiblity. I think I would notice something you know you would hear dogs crying and the smell that would be noticiable. This citizen should get some kind of award I mean if it was not reported these poor animals would all have died. Was this person on drugs or something??? I can't understand it's so awful.

This is quite sad. I am an animal lover. I just can't see anyone saving these precious creatures from being euthinized and then subjecting them to such horrible conditions. Shame on her and anyone who contributes to her so called "rescue" group.

Also, I do applaud the concerned neighbor. Without the call these animals would not have been saved. Sometimes it pays to be a "nosey" neighbor. Thanks to all...the neighbor and animal control. These animals deserve to be places with loving families.
