Any comments about the lifestyles of folks that live on St. Mary's Road? What about the "private club" that is on this road?

haha that private club is awesome. The "Tin Top" to be exact. So much underage drinking and drugs that go on in there. I remember my high school days doing many a illegal things down there. good memories

The Tin Top is on 79 near Red Head. That little club is/was owned by Henry Chambers. It's just a little black juk that was once a front for the sale of moonshine. I've bought some from there before. Moonshine that is. I understand that one can select from various poontang.

BTW Chris Works was once working for the Washington County School System. I have a feeling someone may be looking for him for some legal reasons. If I can help let me know. BTW he got the name "Pokey" because his head is shaped like a pork-and-bean. I've always know him as a descent guy, but sometimes feet slip.

Thanks for the info chris. My reason for being curious is because I heard Someone (white folk) say they went to a private club that was owned by "Pokey." Probaly not a good place for her to be.........am I right about that?

Pokey has always been a pretty good guy. I don't know of any illegal activity on his part, but I don't know. The SAO recently tried his father-in-law for something in circuit court (Mr. Brown) I think he was acquitted. No Juke is a good place to be. But my thoughts are that Pokey is straight. He is/was a football coach and is/was real active in young people and athletics. May not be the same guy. He and Tony Johns are hanging buddies and there isn't a better man in our area than TJ. HE works at the West Florida Wilderness Institute in Westville and has done so for years. Comes from a real good family. And like Pokey, was raised close to that Juke. You can talk to Tony though. He is a very good man ... highest of morals!

If you don't know anybody on St. Mary's Road, then you have no business being there. Their are some good families on that road and bad just like anyplace else.

I agree June Bug. There are good and bade everywhere. A lot of people in Holmes County cast a bad light on the area because it is predominately black people who live there. Drugs are secondary. Good to hear from you June Bug!

I have property on St. Mary's Road but I don't live in the area. One year we walked our property to see how the 1,200 pine trees we planted were doing and near the little stream on our property were 3 big fluffy Pot Plants!!! Of course we ripped those suckers up and tossed them. Why don't these people plant these on their own property?!!! Not nice people. They didn't care if we were the ones to get in trouble just as long as they didn't!!!!!!!
