Holmes County EMS

I am a lifelong resident of Holmes County. Until today, I have always been proud of that. I am the Chief of a Holmes County Fire Department, and a career firefighter in an EMT class. I have never been as disappointed in a group of professionals as I am today. We are a group of people that has worked hard and put in countless hours of training to do our jobs. If you are a Firefighter, EMT or Paramedic and posted negatively on here, you know you’re better than that, were better than that. We need to keep our personal feelings personal. If we have professional concerns take them to the appropriate people. We had a job opening in the county. The people that were elected and hired did their job. There is no way we can all be happy with everything. If Greg will end up being the assistant we will still have a great service. Let’s stop this mess and don’t embarrass ourselves anymore. I work in Walton County, and I hate to have to drop my head to say I live in and oversee a department in Holmes County. Change is hard but its not always bad, give it a chance. Looking forward to a new working relationship in Holmes County. Jerry Hall (my real name)

All of our ems licenses go out in December, so there will be no more emt’s or paramedics in Fla. In only 1 more month! It is the end of EMS.

Unless we can find some money to renew them but I spend all my money I suppose every one else does too. So we all are screwed

I worked with Jerome for years here at Walton county, the employees at HCEMS are getting a good guy, a heck of a medic, and a fair supervisor. He was a supervisor here until he stepped down, as our supervisors had to be certified firefighters after our change to fire rescue and he decided not to persue that certification. He will be fair to everyone there and work to build a stronger service. The only trouble anyone will have with Jerome is learning to spell his last name.
