Zeb Brown has been appointed Bethlehem's newest High School Principal, Although his education supports the advancement for Mr Brown his lack of administrative experience is non-existent. Don't you think that he needs some formal training working as an assistant Principal or at least work under a principal for a while before being offered this position? Is this the person we really want as the head of one of our schools. I have heard through the rumor mill around town that he is already making very poor decisions that will directly effect our student's education. Really Mr Galloway is this the right decision? I would like any comments opposed or for Mr.Brown.

At least Dixon was a fair person that respected his staff. The good-Ole Boy Holmes County Mentality needs a stir up. This county needs a reality check. Really!! I will promote you, if you will do my dirty work. That needs to change now. It needs to start in the Super's office and be investigated all the way to the person that cleans the toilets in this school district???

If you want a professional pay one. No one who works in Holmes County makes even close to what other counties pay. So we wind up with someone who makes poor decisions. All that can be done now is sit back and watch the train wreck.

But it also starts with the voters. We vote these clowns in knowing that it will be the same old song and dance it's just with different people. Jones was that way, Hudson, and now Galloway. Galloway doesn't have a clue what he's doing in there and West just likes the control. Plus we have a school board that is either in it for themselves like register or in it because no one will run against him like motley. This conty has had many chances to keep people like galloway, register, and motley out but hasn't done. galloway made this recommendation and I bet you none of the school boards members questioned it. They just voted yes.

I recommend we the people of Holmes County take these problems up with FL Education Commissioner and see if we can get our county school system straightened out. Maybe even put people that care what is going on and is going to do for the good of the employees and the students not some power tripping elected officials and their family that should not be making all of the decisions that a real superintendent should make themselves??

How is he going to make anyone do anything? He was irresponsible in high school, was a poor teacher and had little idea where the kids he was in charge of were. he was glued to the computer and internet. he has blow ups with students, parents and other employees. If he gets a chance he needs to make it good for the betterment of the community and school. Who's going to do Curriculum?

Plus how do I know your name is lizzie? like I care! I could say my name is Jim and you really wouldnt know if that is true or not. Stick to the topic or start your own.

GO look at the minutes to the meetings. You will see yes on everything. Count just how many times in the last couple of years there has been a spilt vote or a question about anything. You can count them on one hand. You would think that someone would question something at some point and not agree. Good old boys and they have to make it easier to earn all that money.

I realize Zeb Brown is young & i know who he has made mistakes, Ii have know him since he was a child but its amazing what Jesus Christ can do in a persons life. people in bethlehem do not like change & change is despertley needed. im just saying he deserves a chance to try to improve things & he does love children, you obviously don't know him. there is alot of things up there that people don't realize & don't know. & besides GOD is the only judge!!! he will make mistakes because he is human. but if you have faith in GOD things will always work out.

Ok lets don't start the Jesus train up! When he starts making school decisions in the name of Jesus that is gonna be an altogether different topic. I have my faith and I believe in Jesus as well and I am, all for prayer before lunch in school. But Mr Brown's new found Jesus talk is not going to change the fact that HE HAS NO EXPERIENCE IN ADMINISTRATION AND NO PLACE IN THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE YET. Maybe when Mr. Brown matures a little then it could be considered. The only reason he got the job is he threatened to sue if he did not get what he wants. I know that for a fact. I also know that his poor decision making is going to get him out of a job as fast as his threats to sue got him in. Just stating the facts. Oh and BTW I know him very well better than you may think. Mr. Brown you are in for a short ride, it want be long before you lose your cool with someone and blow if for yourself.

The First Amendment to the Constitution provides a broad right of freedom of speech. However, if a false statement has been made one can sue for defamation.

Generally, defamation consists of:(1) a false statement of fact about another; (2) an unprivileged publication of that statement to a third party; (3) some degree of fault, depending on the type of case; and (4) some harm or damage. Libel is defamation by the printed word and slander is defamation by the spoken word.

If the statement is made about a public official - for example, a police officer, mayor, school superintendent - or a public figure - that is a generally prominent person or a person who is actively involved in a public controversy, then it must be proven that the statement was made with knowledge that it was false or with reckless disregard for whether the statement was true or false. In other words, the fact that the statement was false is not enough to recover for defamation. On the other hand, if the statement was made about a private person, then it must be proven that the false statement was made without reasonable care as to whether the statement was true or false.
