Maybe it was the people that let it go down. If you live in Bonham, then why do you care what happens in Trenton ? Are do you just like to bitch? As long as the current Mayor, and his people are in Bonham, you are ok.

<quoted text>Sherman is a much larger town, big differnce, it doesn't negatively affect larger towns the same. Like I said I lived there, you didn't so you don't know what you are talking about.
Really? Just because you lived there at one time doesn't make you all knowing and everyone else stupid and irrelevant. I've spent quite a bit of time studying people and learning patterns of behavior. I have a degree and job working in that area. I'm telling you this: selling alcohol in an area does not MAKE people drink who otherwise wouldn't. The people who will/are purchasing alcohol in Trenton were already doing so somewhere else before alcohol became available there.

Wrong again.'Bubba' implies that I am man when in reality I'm a woman.

Now, do you have something relevant to add to the conversation? If not, I'd suggest you to find another topic.

Oh wow. I just now made a phone call and found out that someone is thinking about opening a bar/topless joint at the old Bandy's Truck Stop location in Trenton. It's on the corner of 121 and 69. This is going to be better than when Leonard had that massage parlor in the 70s.

Can anyone confirm this?

I hope what you speak is the truth Greggo. However, there is no way this establishment could be better than the old Fantasy Farm Massage Parlor in Leonard that I used to frequent.

Now, if Bonham would just joint the 21st century and let Brookshires and Walmart sell beer/wine this schitty little town might be taken off of life-support and start growing.

I never cease to be amazed at all the pious and self-righteous azzholes who act horrified at the thought of Bonham going wet. Guess what, folks: the only people opposed to it are the pastors who are afraid of their Sunday morning offering plates coming in a little light due to their congregation spending a couple of bucks for a nice bottle of red wine.

Look at cities like Colleyville down in DFW: they just went completely wet (hard liquor) and yet the walls of their churches didn't collapse. Grapevine sells beer/wine, Southlake sells beer/wine. Where would you rather live: there, or be stuck in a perpetually azz-backwards town like Bonham?

There's no good reason why Bonham is still dry other than a retarded mind-set by a bunch of old small-town hicks who can't crawl out of their ashtrays long enough to see how dead Bonham really is.

Let's vote.It took the school bond a couple of times, but we got it.So let's vote.I only drink a beer now and then, but the money from the sales will sure help.So let's vote. Most people in this town drink but they do not want people to know. They will vote no, because they know if you can buy in Bonham, they will slip up and buy here and people will see.And if we vote on it enough it will pass, then the people that voted no can move.I like it when I see people from Bonham,in another town at an eater, with an alcohol drink. Then you see the same people in Bonham, at an eater, and there drinking a soft drink, fake as- people. That,s onr thing that is wrong with this town,a bunch of fake as- people.Don't wasted your time I am not moving.Let's vote.
