Hi Danny. Welcome to the area. At one time Barbaras Burgers in Bells had the best burger in the state. She had to close for reasons that would shock north texas if it ever came out. I heard she is reopening though. Untill then, Mudbones is pretty good.

Barbaras Burgers was the best before she was crushed by the evil Bob McCraw.

Not much choice in Bonham, but Braums, bar none.

Is Ben's still around? They used to have the best Bacon Cheeseburgers. Huge pieces of bacon absolutely out of this world if you could stand the cigarette smoke.

Bens hasn't been in business in several years. An equally greasy and smokey place called river bend is open there now.

The best burgers in the area are available about 30 miles west of Bonham. Tracks Restaurant , near WNJ hospital,or MG's burger joint , near Fairview Park, both on Wood Street in Sherman....owned by the same family, buns and desserts are homemade at the family owned Mom's Bakery, hand cut fries, and great chicken fried steak. Nope, I am not a relative, just a loyal customer.

We drove over from Sherman to the Tractor Place and stopped by Muddbones for about the 10th time, everytime it was very good until last week, it was terrible. I believe they have a new cook. The bun was cold and the meat just did not have the flavor it usely does. Very, very disappointed.

Rick's Chophouse or Square Burger in downtown McKinney! That's where you'll find the best burgers! I must say, McKinney has done it right with their square and historic district!

Standard operating procedure in Bonham. Places start out great then they let the quality standards go slack for whatever reason and then POOF! They Gone. Except for the smoke filled fried food factories, somehow they continue to push out greasy burgers and cheap chicken fried steaks. Of course the fast food joints are always packed, and staffed with plenty of high school aged a-holes who couldnt put forth less effort to make sure you orders right or even extend a warm customer service based welcome. Just throw you a sack and slam the window.

The best hamburgers will come off your own grill. If you're not motivated to make your own, pay Braum's for one, they're not too bad.
