Well, intelligence would tell you that if she's calling parents she is probably getting a list of people for her lawyer, to testify on her side.
And # 2 you moron the post said kids parents that where involved in case. So if she's that dumb she needs a week in jail just for that.

Well, moron, as a matter of fact I've been contacted by people in about 4 different cases asking me if they could give their lawyers my name and number for cases. Please refrain from the juvenile name calling and try being an adult. I would say it isn't wise to call the parents of the kids involved. I agree with you on that.

I've wondered the same thing. Good question?
The program was explained in previous posts - it's a classroom where they isolate the severely and profoundly handicapped or violent children from the regular children - it's not just 'learning disabled' or slow learners - it's children who are very difficult to handle and/or who cannot function in a regular classroom. They are not allowed to even leave the room to go to lunch with other children...lunch is delivered to them. Some are medically handicapped, some are mentally disturbed - whatever their problem is, the law requires they be in school and 'educated' to whatever degree they can be.

What is the stride program? Is this an l.d. class or something different? If these children are as violent & disturbed as someone posted, should they be at a mainstream campus?

That questions was answered in earlier posts - severely and profoundly handicapped classes - kids who have severe medical or mental problems, kids who must be isolated from other kids.

Totally agree !! Thats a big point against her . She is really scared to go to jail cause she knows she is guilty , please parents that have get a call/text from her please report it to school people or investigators . Preferably investigators cause after hear rumors , people still believe on her innocence . Please help to make justice for those kids abused , to prevent future negligences .

The real issue on this thread is about the arrest of 2 teachers. Can we please stay on topic and take your posts about guns, the president, etc elsewhere. Thanks!

I do not know these ppl personally so i can only go on what was reported. As a parent of a special needs child i am very involved with their life. I work a full time job and deal with my child 24/7 365. some kids have multiple issues but it is never acceptable for Special education or any teacher to slap or restrain a child in that way. This childs parents should be informed anytime a child has become that out of control. Bonham has some very good special education teachers. A good teacher will keep you informed as to what is going on a nd will be more than happy for you to visit the class. We will just have to wait and see what happens

Did you see the video? I agree that a child shouldn't be slapped and or abused. Sometimes, when there is a danger of the child hurting themselves or others, it is necessary to restrain them using methods agreed upon in an ARD meeting in their BIP e.g. CPI restraints. There is a lot of controversy over CPI restraints, however. I am under the impression that not only was Connerly in contact with the mom on a regular basis, she was also in contact with the child's doctor.

No Excuse For Child Abuse. If found guilty or they plead, I hope the judge sends a messge. No need for children to be abused in any way.

I have not seen the video (i think it would be heartbreaking to watch) i am not familiar with the restraint methods as my child does not require such but it appears a line was crossed and hopefully the parents did not condone the behavior or methods used. I believe justice will be served when all is said and done.

What does one do to get a deadly conduct charge. Apparently he's a hot head. And no one is responding to the questions of an affair.
