Kankakee: Candidates lining up for city election, including 6 for mayor

A field of 24 people - including six mayoral candidates - are vying for elected office in Kankakee and will place their names on the Feb.

sound like Nina's the cleanest one of the bunch. at lest she pays her bills and isn't in foreclosure.

Nina is a person who can't be reguarded a a frend of Kankakee.
She just passed the largest property tax increase in Kankakee history. She says it's only 3%, but in reality she had the property assessments lowered as much as 29% 1st, then gave a huge increase to make it look like only 3% increase. If a property can be sold in this city, the new owners will be buried in taxes unless they purchace the home for the assessed value.
Dan Sullivan is the only one with any clear plans on how to fix our current situation.
Sullivan will be getting my vote.

Dan Sullivan will be getting my vote as well. Nina has proven to me that she doesn't really care about the town just her and her friends. Tim no way that just isn't happening.

Porters platform, bring more ex-felonies into town and give them tax breaks to start business. Porter has no platform.

If you guys really want to see a change you all should ask for a republican ticket and vote for Dan Sullivan in the primary. Think about it he is the only one running against Nina Epstein in the primary and if Dan beats Nina in the primary than Nina is done she out as Mayor of Kankakee. Than you can decide who to vote for in the general election to be Mayor of Kankakee. So lets send the city a message now and remove Nina from office on February 26th. Lets end it for her and the corrupt ways and corrupt friends by voting for Dan Sullivan on the Republican ticket.

When Dan wins the primary that alone is going to send the City of Kankakee the loudest message they have ever heard. The message that us taxpayers have had enough of this machine sinking Kankakee.
