I've worked in Mali in health for the past five years and have not heard of this initiative. While grassroots activities like these are great and to be encouraged, working with health officials and the population are the only ways these activities will be sustained in the future. I would encourage the MHOP to become more "official" to help other Malians learn from their experience.
