Head-on collision on Route 5

Vermont State Police responded to a two-car head on accident Monday on Route 5 caused when a car driven by Beth Honsaker, 18, of Putney, crossed into the wrong lane while coming out of a slight right hand curve ...

A car in the other lane driven by Gene Redfield, 40, of Marlboro, blew his horn, veered and hit the BREAKS to avoid Honsaker, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Too bad they weren't driving "wrecklessly"

seems to be a pattern of woman involved in wrecks involving driving on the wrong side of the road, shouldn't the state pass some sort of stiffer laws to address this issue, like life in prison because they are menaces to children in other cars, what about the children ?

So Bonehate hates liberals, immigrants, minorities, drivers of fuel-efficient cars, and now the entire female gender...anybody else?

Are you not enjoying life, Bonehate? Isn't it hard to harbor and spout so much bitterness all the time toward just about everybody? No friends? What happened to you to turn your old mind so sour, that you spend your time in Connecticut harassing people in Vermont? Do you harass and hate people in other states too? It must be such a sad existence. I'm so glad you're 2 states away, and hope I never get to be like you.

The 18 year old is a wonderful & talented girl who just graduated high school and is headed for college. It was an ACCIDENT. Why she was on the wrong side of the road isn't known. Inexperience, distraction, a medical reason we don't know. I am thankful the other driver escaped without serious injuries,that didn't happen to Beth. I pray she has a speedy recovery and can move forward and learn from this accident. Get well Beth you have a loving community that supports you!!!!
