Faculty write to back U of Ill. chancellor

Dozens of University of Illinois faculty have signed letters to a pair of newspapers in support of Chancellor Richard Herman in the school's admissions scandal.

It doesn't surprise me the U of I finds itself in this situation. The school isn't about the education as much as it is about the name. It's no surprise that the rich and connected are able to get their undeserving children enrolled. And then we wonder why our political system is rife with incompetence and corruption...
