Concerned,

You are a nasty hypocrit!

Are you saying BJ McLemore is above the law because he's a cop? If he does the crime, he needs to do the time!

I have met all the officers involved in this. BJ is a great cop who's done lots of great things for the community, but he made a dumb mistake. I sincerely hope he doesn't lose his job over this...he's human, just like anyone else.

Trooper Weedon was only doing his job, and I think Shaloa said publicly that they're not upset with the trooper. And that's the way it should be!

Let's hope the court takes into account that BJ was arrested without incident, and (i hope) has a squeaky clean record. The charges will likely be dropped in no time...considering BJ refused to take the breath test.

I would like to know what B.J. McLemore is doing job wise now.
I was just thinking about him this morning and then I saw this forum.
I thought B.J. was a wonderful person but he did make a serious mistake and paid dearly for it.
I do hope he was able to find another job he is pleased with.
Again, does anyone know what line of work B.J. is in now?

Derrick, in Oklahoma if you refuse a breathalyzer you are admitting guilt. There's an automatic penalty assessed for refusal.

If you do the crime,do the time.
Public, religious and political leaders doubley so.
And in Oklahoma if you refuse the test it is an automatic suspension of your drivers license.
People make mistakes like DUI's,I won't fault the guy for making a mistake but I would fault him for trying to get out of it.

Well I have been told that he works in a boy's home by Lake Tenkiller. I have also been told that after he got arrested for DUI that he retired from the police department and that he is a drunk now and he smokes weed.

Well that is too bad. So sad also because I do believe he was an honest and nice person.
I just hope he straightens his life up and gets back on the right road again.

B.J.'s DUI occurred not too long after his wife died of cancer. She had quite a long struggle with it before dying. He really fell apart for quite awhile. It has been hard watching him go through all of this. He is doing a little better now.

Just like Huff, he got what he had coming, they all think their above the law. One set of laws for them, one set laws for the rest of us.
