I heard that Counsellor-At-Large Levey is implicated here. That would be a sad revelation. He is really dedicated to the "health" of Marlborough and all it's residents.

Yes mr Levy is the one who didnt file the tax papers for the seniors. Now the seniors will be fined by the federal gov for every year. He worked with the seniors from 2003 to 2008 and never once filed the forms, We thought he has since that was his job as president and that is what he did for a living.we have been fined over 1800 dollars just for 2008 and have many more fines to go. He doesnt deserve to be in office because of this. He has signed a paper saying he will pay all of the fines the seniors get. Hope he follows through. I dont think he will and I hope he goes to court and has to pay.

You people let this happen. Just because he worked for Fidelity at one time, you think he has morals and would do the right thing...FOR HIM ONLY! Fools!

The seniors are siphoning all the money from Social Security. They should have planned ahead for their retirement, but they just as stupid as the kids they raised.

You people with no retirement are in for a rude awakening. If you think the government is going to take care of you, forget it! With no SS benefits for the baby boomers, they better start applying for jobs at Walmart and McDonalds :)

Honey, Social Security is the biggest Ponzi scheme ever. We are forced to contribute while the old folks drain it dry.

Secondly, I don't need social security. If I am depending on SS for my retirement, I betting on a system that is designed to lose... Statistics just prooved that it will run out of money a lot sooner then anticipated more like 10 years with the pressures put on it and no one contributing...see a losing system that people are depending on.

Like the rest of them Jean, you are part of the system that is failing and there aren't no Government bailouts left...

BTW, those young people are just learning from you old people...no difference.

You are so right, Chunks. The SS system is the biggest ponzi scheme ever. It is spending every penny that goes in with no future money for investing in the future...we are screwed big time. We pay a lot of money from our paycheck to support the old people who have worked hard all their life, but spent it all so they can live off the system...they settled for jobs that limit their pay, while we will get nothing from our investment.

Quinzzie, how dumb are you. ss is not perfect. It is not an investment to pay for you to live and it never has been. You do not pay a lot from you paycheck you pay what everyone else has always paid. You pay it not for the old people you pay it for your self.there was no retirement and no way to save back years ago. I am not old , and I was able to save enough when i worked to live comfortable when i retired. But not every one was able to do that. I sure hope when you retire you dont need any thing because you are the kind of person that will want every thing for nothing.while there are old people like that not all seniors are that way.

"No retirement and no way to save back years ago" Investments, MF's have been around for the past 90 years... Jean you just don't know.

Secondly, SS is a ponzi scheme that will dissolve before expected. For every dollar we as contributors are putting in .93 of each is going out to pay for the current outlay. Do you think the cost of things are going down or up? This system is currently designed to fail, but nobody wants to do anything about it. The money coming into SS has been invested wrongly in the past 30 years and now there isn't any money left to invest.

You do have one thing right...SS was never an investment to pay you in retirement, but unfortunately because people never invested for their future it has become a way of life. What would happen to these people if SS did bust...they would starve to death and die and guess what...Our Government is not going to lose money just for the people and pay their way. That's the only guarantee these people have, the Government will not take care of you so start investing now!

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Capricorn

You're in a very generous and kind frame of mind today, and you'll go out of your way to help others if you think they need it. You might donate some money to a good cause or decide that charity begins at home. If you're buying gifts for some of your loved ones it will be difficult to know when to stop, because you could easily get carried away.
