A competent Town Administrator is hard to find. And, once you have one, they are even harder to keep. There will always be differences of opinion between Selectboards and their Administrator, but experienced, mature members are supposed to work things out. The same should be said for the Administrator. He reports to the BOS and needs to remember that fact. I still believe that the BOS and the Town Administrator can put their cards on the table, clearly articulate their differences and work things out. Absent a conscientious effort by both parties, Lancaster loses an experienced and competent Administrator - and it becomes both their faults. Recalls are no way to run a Town. But if the BOS can't manage the Town affairs and the staff, then they need to go too.
Truly disappointed that they can't work it out......
