Votes still to be counted

As of midnight, the Carroll County Board of Elections had tabulated the votes cast on TSX machines in all 26 precincts in Carroll County.

Board of Election problems continue? Other counties have had election results on television since Tuesday evening. The TV stations continue to say Carroll County results are not yet complete and available. Why not? If all of the other counties can provide timely election results, why can't Carroll? If you need extra help on election day to count ballots, hire them. If you need another machine, buy it. Get the job done in a timely fashion like the rest of the state.

Yes, Fran, I couldn't agree more. It is extremely difficult to comprehend how this could even happen.

John O, I did vote for Gary Willen myself, but with only 42% of votes counted we really shouldn't congratulate him yet. It is very sad that the candidates have to wait even longer.

For those of us who take great pride in our county, this is not acceptable. The public square became desolate at midnight, which is when the Free Press was given this incompetent excuse that is unimaginable in today’s society.

Article still says 1000 absentee ballots haven't been counted yet. With that number uncounted every result could easily change. Most races are within a couple hundred or fewer votes. The Board of Elections website still has no results posted at all. Glad I didn't run since results are so slow in coming! I was a little upset with the village council section when it was listed as write in 1,2,3, or 4. I did not see anywhere as to who the write-in's were in comparison with the numbers. I may have overlooked it somewhere.

Its a full day since the election and we still dont have an official count posted! its 12:03 am thursday morning and the official election page has no postings yet! Its ludacris!

What about posting the results for the Issues on the ballot. Some times they may be more important to us tha just the results for the Elected Officials.

Please forgive me, as I did not mean to sound disrespectful. At first I didn't see the additional information available on the results, until Jimmy showed me the link. It sounded like you were along the same line of discussion as Jimmy (whoever he is, since we don;t know each other, lol) and I were having yesterday. I just wanted to help and get your input on the other discussion board, about the write-ins. Again, I'm sorry, didn't mean to set anyone straight. Just wanted to help.
