Iniatially DP claimed that 14 guns were confiscated...BUT stated on camera that he owned ~ 20 GUNS...displayed a "folding one" saying that "the cops" didn't find this!..He should VOID his "FOID" ...hand in all the guns...and CONFESS TO THE KILLINGS OF BOTH HIS WIVES!

If he is guilty, then yes, he should do exactly as you suggest.

I am glad he the cars will be returned and the kids will get their computers back at last.

Whatever you may think of him, renting a car for all this time has cost a lot of money. Money that would have been better spent on the children's well being.

Mrs. Buttinsky's signs are scarey. The only ones that can see them are the Petersons. How can she do this to the kids? They don't understand what is happening. Why add to their confusion?

Something isn't right about this unusual display. It is an act of aggression against Drew, but only hurts the children. If she were posting the signs at the mall, then fine. But, taped to her gas grill in the backayrd facing the Peterson house?

Come on. She can not claim that this is so that people will see the signs and she is trying to get their attention.

Give the kids a break. They have enough on their plates.

Amazing how quickly we judge when there hasn't even been a trial yet.

Interesting article out there in the Chicago Tribune stating that DP may have hid a gun from the police during the search of his home:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-...

My question is with all of the talking that Rick Mims has done why the heck would he wait until only a few weeks ago to inform police about this? What is wrong with people? Why would you cover up such an important fact and withhold the information from an investigation? Now if it is true - he's just give some people doubt because of the delay. And why the heck wouldn't the ISP have searched DP when they searched his home to make sure he didn't have any weapons on him?? It just seems like common sense to check someone who could have a reason to hide something.

The children's well being doesn't seem to be suffering because droopy had to rent a mini van. Did he have to cancel all activities, sports, and grocery shopping (and drinking in bars) because he had to rent a minivan? I think not.

In regards to the gun story, I believe Ric Mims was out in the media no less than a month after the "disappearance" talking about the small gun that droopy was still in possession of. It was hidden in a wall or somewhere I think.

One more thing. Shouldn't the ISP be able to know which and how many guns he had registered? If they found one in his home that wasn't registered can't they charge you with that?

You ask "how can she do this to the kids?"

Agreed, the neighbor is over the top. If I had a neighbor who was a creep, I'd avoid his space and respect his privacy unless personally provoked, and I think most people would do the same.

That said...I don't see where Peterson has done a lot publicly or in a positive way with respect for "children's well-being" as it relates to their missing mom.

To wit: Going on national TV and...
1)making snide remarks about mom's menstrual cycles
2) slapping-down mom's relatives (the kids aunt's etc.)
3) discussing theories, noting mom's possible extra-marital affairs and abandonment of the kids

Not exactly the high-road

And again, Junior P. is hearing all that direct from Dad's mouth. And its likely caused more damage than the neighbors signage.

If renting a vehicle for 6 months was such a financial hardship, how is it he can afford to eat at Gibson's and frequent the many bars in the area? Or are those comped?

Please - if he was hurting for money right now he should be spending his money on the children's well being instead of going out to Gibson's (which is rather expensive in my books).

Plus the taxpayer dollars are helping pay his retirement funds right now at a monthly allowance that many wish their working salary was.

LOL - I didn't see your message before I sent mine! Maybe he's getting his dinner and drinks paid for him by the ladies out there that have taken a liking to him.

Hi Think,
I am afraid that they do not know about all of them.
The one that Rick is talking about ... Drew did wear it on his body ... leg or something ... as far as I did read about it ....
Guess that was the moment that he left his house a few days "to get his head free" ...

Gibson's is expensive, I've been there. It's nice but not worth the expense to me. Maybe I'm just too old fashioned or down home but I don't get much from paying a fortune for a meal unless it's served by George Clooney (for me) and whatever young thing my husband would like his served by LOL

REPLY: Star, I totally agree with you about the prices at Gibson's
I have been there about three times since I have been in Chicago. Never again, It is almost obscene the size of the Steaks some people order. I don't need all those trappings at all. I also suspect, that these dinners are being
written off somehow. Maybe this is money, from Drew's Media takes. I have a feeling this guy likes to hold on to his money. Brodsky throws out the Gibson name, because it is an in place to be seen and mingle with the beautiful people.

When I use to work in OakBrook, I can remember going to The Flame, Andy's Steak House, and Sharko's. But that was many moons ago. I thought those places were a lot greater than some of the places in Chicago. I think those places are gone now. JMO

It is very expensive - but somehow they still let a cockroach crawl on one of my co-workers when he went there. For real!

the kids know full well what's going on....
and they are scared to death....
they know more than any of us what it is like living with drewpie.

it must be devastating to realize that your biological mother was murdered, not just accidentally drowned in a bathtub, and now your stepmom is missing....and that your biological dad is the main suspect ...
the kids aren't in a bubble, dots...nor should they be....
if drew was so concerned about their psyche/s he would spend a little less time on week ends at the Tailgater's Bar trolling for wife number 5, and a little more time embracing his hurting children and putting up flyers like the rest of his neighbors who have taken time out of their lives to look FOR HIS MISSING WIFE!!
The fact he doesn't even bother helping with the search says volumes to his kids....and if you, or he thinks differently, then you don't know ANYTHING about children and how they perceive things....he's an idiot...the seeds he's sown will one day be reaped....and what a bitter harvest for all.

Thanks annie. Thing is, the neighbor appears to be a bit of a goof. But the kids are hearing/reading all this stuff about mom direct from dad.

("Look, Dad's talking to Matt Lauer... gee, Dad thinks mom split with another guy and left us...")

Super theory - and totally whimsical and definitely unsubstantiated.

I understand defending yourself and lawyers influencing potential jurors.

But here the by-product looks a lot like psychological abuse by a parent... that's more disturbing and damaging than anything the neighbor is doing.
