Wow....according to Drew, he didn't have even one friend who wasn't a complete loser, not a one. Once again, EVERYONE ELSE is "wrong" and just out to cash in on this poor guy!!

Hey, with the economy being the way it is, I guess we got to do what we gotta do. Wait until later in the week when you all see the story I've concocted...to make a KILLING off of one of my friends or neightbors. Hmmmmmmm.....who will it be?

What a joke!!

BOLINGBROOK -- Paula Stark stood on a neighbor's stoop Wednesday and smoked a cigarette as she watched photographers and reporters staking out her home down the street. She and her husband were the next big thing, and she was feeling overwhelmed.

"I'm exhausted," Stark said.

Her cell phone rang repeatedly with calls from television news producers. By late afternoon, she had not found time to eat anything since the Tuesday morning. Her husband, Len Wawczak, was elsewhere, possibly fishing with a friend, to avoid the media throng outside their home.

The couple was under siege, and all because they went public about wearing a wire to set up their former friend, ex-cop Drew Peterson, whose fourth wife has been missing since October and whose third wife was the victim of a March 2004 homicide that remains unsolved.

Stark and Wawczak claim they wore a wire around Peterson for nearly seven months, ending their undercover operation in mid-June. Friends of Peterson for about 16 years, the couple said he mocked investigators as "idiots"; called third wife Savio a slur and said he should have had her cremated; and predicted he'd be tried and acquitted long before fourth wife Stacy's remains were found.
Peterson's response
As far as Peterson is concerned, Stark and Wawczak are just bitter because he refused to lend them a large sum of money about a month ago. It was the last time he saw the husband and wife, who regularly watched his youngest two children in the wake of Stacy's disappearance.

Stark and Wawczak are just looking to cash in on his misery and were sniffing around for money long before this, Peterson said .

For example, Peterson said, after he returned from New York for an appearance on the "Today" show, he autographed a baseball cap for the couple. Stark's mother put it up for sale on eBay with a starting price of $10,000.

"And on top of that, I caught Paula in my bedroom taking pictures," Peterson said. "So I have more friends taking advantage of my anguish."

And before all this, Peterson was free with his money, he said, even lending Stark $400 on one occasion.

"She did that behind Lenny's back," Peterson said.

Stark denied borrowing money and said she and her husband always had to foot the bill when she took Peterson's children on outings. Her mother did put the cap on eBay, Stark said, but the plan was to donate the money to the volunteer search effort to find Stacy. They never got the chance, as the Web site shut down the auction.
Is couple profiting?
Inside the home of her neighbor, Paula holed up in the basement and watched Peterson's attorney Joel Brodsky on television. Brodsky essentially called the couple liars who are looking to make a buck. Stark and her neighbor were not that interested in what Brodsky had to say and later changed the channel from the news to the situation-comedy "Home Improvement."

For all the attention, Stark said she and her husband weren't making any money.

"They'll fly me out there (to New York) for interviews," she said. "But that's it."

In a statement released by Peterson's publicist, Brodsky said Stark and Wawczak broke the law if their claims about wearing a wire are true.

Brodsky said that "today's news would include their arrest for obstruction of justice. The police would never allow the disclosure of any such information in an ongoing investigation."

Stark said she spoke to state police Wednesday morning, and they laughed at what Brodsky and his client had to say.

Peterson also called Wawczak's character into question, saying his old friend often ran afoul of the law.

Part 2

"I used to arrest Lenny on a regular basis for drunk and disorderly" behavior, he said of Wawczak, who has been arrested over the years by Bolingbrook police.

Stark wasn't surprised by Peterson's comments, recalling how he has smeared others.

"It's the same with everyone who goes against him," she said. "They're all losing their house, they all need money."

The Will Co. Recorder's office has several "lis pendens" against Lenny and Paula. There is also a $350K judgement against Lenny. So, there IS some truth to this.

He says Lenny was always running a foul of the
law. What does he call what he has done? I think
drunk and disorderly is nothing compared to a
double murderer. JMO

Did DP and JB ever stop to think for one second that Len and Paula would need an exit plan once recordings were finished??

What better grounds to provoke an argument on than $, since DP's world revolves around $ and His possessions!!
Drew and Joel are absolutely Dumb and dumber and they fell right into Len and Paulas plan. A spat about borrowing $, left them the comfort to exit with no second thought from DP.All that was left was DP to spout to the media...they are in trouble financially!!

Wonder how DP feels really about his on-line love with Len?? Oh that's right he knew the whole time. LOL LOL

This still hasn't been explained. Exactly what did they get him doing? Seriously, what have they offered that is even a little bit incriminating regarding the disappearance of one wife and the death of another?

What did I miss? Why did they need an "exit plan"?

There is no sense to this except to profit from it in some way.

This is sad really. These two people have faked their way into his children's lives, without a thought of how all of this would affect them. Those poor kids, have they not had enough to endure in their young lives? I'm sure these children trusted these two and turned to them, and now look what happens. I hope and pray these poor kids will not be too emotionally scarred from this.

I don't know what the $350K judgement is for, but I do know that a "lis pendens" is a real estate lien filed against a property. The only way to get rid of that is to pay the creditor that placed the lien or get foreclosed on.

Sounds like there may be more than just "some" truth to this.

Here is a beautiful summary of Joel Brodsky: I took this from another site. WTH does their financial problems have to do w/ anything??

In 1997, he went through a bitter divorce from his first wife, who alleged that he had threatened her life. Brodsky denied the allegation. He was never charged. The following year, Brodsky filed for personal bankruptcy. He blamed his divorce for his financial difficulties.

In 2002, a police SWAT team responded to his home on a report that Brodsky was home alone brandishing a shotgun and threatening to kill himself, according to a police report. No charges were filed, however, and both Brodsky and his current wife, Elizabeth, contend that police mishandled the incident.

Brodsky ran afoul of state disciplinary authorities when he used a fake signature to withdraw about $23,000 from a client’s account. Officials ultimately agreed that Brodsky was trying to prevent the money from being forfeited to the state and never intended to steal it. But they still found an ethics violation and suspended him from practicing law for three months in 2004.

A lis pendens is actually a foreclosure as opposed to just a regular lien on a property's title.

from wikipedia: This may refer to any pending lawsuit or to a specific situation with a public notice of litigation that has been recorded in the same location where the title of real property has been recorded. This notice secures a plaintiff's claim on the property so that the sale, mortgage, or encumbrance of the property will not diminish plaintiff's rights to the property, should the plaintiff prevail in its case. In some jurisdictions, when the notice is properly recorded, lis pendens is considered constructive notice to the other litigants or other unrecorded or subordinate lienholders. The term is sometimes abbreviated as "lis pend".
