Any crime is a "hate crime" regardless of who the victim is. However, one does not see 'minority' individuals charged with committing a hate crime, even when there is clear evidence that the murder of a 'majority' person resulted from that act. It is a useless law that promotes racism and provides an excuse that persons of the 'minority' groups are somehow incapable of committing a hate crime. If this law is to remain on the books, it needs to used fairly among all groups--and not just against one.
