<quoted text> How did you get the rumor that SaveMart and Foodmax were going to purchase the rest of the Albertsons and how many stores are you hearing are going to be sold, I have heard the rumor of several stores from Northern CA to Bakersfield, Can anyone confirm or is it just rumors, SaveMart is a good Company to work for.
Doubt if they'll get the Bakersfield stores as they are owned by Super Valu not Cerberus as are the No.Cal Div. stores.

Don't kid your self. The service is terrible and the conditions no better. Best thing that ever happened was Perkins and App getting out of town.
Problem is Albertsons does not know how to treat people..........

Walmart is the biggest stanky poor white trash joke of USA. I would not be caught dead anywhere near there. Apparently his ass works for them and he's not able to control his braggery of how they're great since they pay him, sellout whore. Look for your bread & butter elsewhere ! Every area is hiring for something. You got to be a low self esteem piece of garbage to wanta see the pants fall off the people overweight and who have
"lowered expectations" that walk in there. No sir, I am not stuck up, I am proud middle class. Walmart is not there for the people. Did you know that Walmart and the four Waltons ARE the biggest billionares in the World: Alice L., United States, 16.0/ Walton, Helen R. 16.0/ Walton, Jim C., United States, 16.0/ Walton, John T., United States, 16.0/ Walton, S. Robson 16.0 billion.
Also a Nancy Laurie 2.0 with a daughter ELizabeth Paige Laurie who cheated awful at a MO university.

Walmart is not an American tradition !

Walmart is not American it is all outsourced slavery, and mean also to American workers forcing long hours as standard ! If there were no laws these evil beings would want you there longer for an even lower pay.

By building stores these SOB's have not shared their wealth they have been bullies & destroyed a bunch of towns not only small but medium sized also.
And you want to help those ugly whores get paid more money ?
Remember you have choice !

I used to love shopping at Albertsons in Lafayette Louisiana for many years. I do not have a lot of money and really enjoyed the people being so friendly. Shop at Walmart and it made me wonder if the cashier was at gun point with the lake of communication and very unfriendly. Then Albertsons changed overnight. Prices jumped and we ended up at Walmart. I tried to continue to shop at Albertsons but prices seemed to almost double. Now we live in Texas and there is a large grocery chain called Brookshires, clean, very friendly people and Walmart will never hurt them with low prices. Walmarts lack customer service and the meat and produce other stores would throw that away. I miss Scaggs Albertsons and doubt they will every return. As far as brookshires, Dont shop there because they play the pricing games with a card. Stuck with that Bentonville garbage for now for groceries.

This will be the second store that i will be transfering out of. Going from one closing store to another. I think it's time to find a new job. Things have definitly been getting worse and worse. Our trash compactor has been broken for the past 6 months, we have been throwing our trash into a roll out dumpster pulled into the truck bay. I'm sad to see the company go down the drain.

get out of dodge, albertson is promising 1 week of severance for every year worked, b******t. you get 12 weeks severance, whether you worked 24 years or 12 years. this (us) family and possibly others are sueing. good ole' what his name won't have a pot to cook water in.
I worked for Albertons in Florida when they closed I got only half of my severance pay, they take 25% out after taxes are taken out, you barely get anything from them.

I have a feeling that the end is near for Albertsons. Save Mart should be able to turn around the ailing Albertsons stores in Northern California. I have a feeling that Bashas' may ending up taking over the Albertsons stores in AZ which would be great. Bashas' would be able to fix the ailing stores in Arizona. Let's see if SuperValu may end up selling the Southern California region.

Damn all of the Albertson's in Ms have been turned into Brookshire's. I think they have been changed since 2003. Why are they just now closing ones in other states?

Albertsons is the worst company in history.
Acme markets went to the bottom when they were taken over by Albertsons. Does anyone know where Larry, Ed, and Charly bear are.
We know where CJ is thank God he is gone.

i worked at store 4177 and 4188, and in my opinion, it is definately the ceo, but it is also the people that they hire for the manager positions. ive seen so many morons in these positions that it makes me stop and wonder how in the h.. they got hired in the first place. i finaly quit as my meat manager and assistant manager were just useless and worked when they felt like it. so if your going to hire people like that, then as the old saying goes, you reap what you sow. i beleive that albertsons was a great store at one point and is now being monopolized (especialy in my area) sams, super walmart, ect. but now it realy isnt that great of store to work for.

As one who, with his chldren, has spent thousands of dollars yearly for a lot of years with Albertson, I have had it. The "final straw"? The increasing attempts (this time at the gas pump) to force customers to use their damn cards in order to get gas.
Feel free to flunk your way completely out of Boise. We would be better off.

Well....for the Albertsons addics in Northern California would have to travel to either bakersfield or Paso Robles for the Nearest Albertsons Store. I used to shop at albertsons in Redding,CA for 10 years until they shut it down. I hope albertsons stays in Southern California. Someone should buy albertsons from SuperValu and Cerbus and start fresh.

revive this posting...
can't wait for them to close, myself.
They work you into the ground, assign you incapable help that should be greeters at Wal-Mart and still expect you to be running at 100%.
Gimme my severance pay and let me get a job where I can be happy and sane. The bakery should be the easiest job in the whole store, but I can't run it alone. The Boss blames you of course for not being able to train your employees who, thanks to the new pay rates, don't stick around to pick up there first paycheck.I'm glad I still get top wages and will happily suck up the overtime at $24 an hour.
Shut er' down, I need a vacation.

we all need a vacation . and for right now we could use at least 25 more employees at every store just to start having somewhat happy peiple working there. thay wont happen so we get to see the same twenty employees WORKING THERE BUTS OFF. EVERY DAY . and they want to focus on good customer service ? cant be done with the fools that are in charge today.
