Cop to Magic Eight Ball..."Magic Eight Ball, do the people of Tonga laugh at the cops in the U.S. for not being able to Draw and Quarter criminals who run a stop sign?" Answer: "No, last time I checked, that was cruel and unusual punishment!" Cop to Magic Eight Ball: "Magic Eight Ball, do the people on the island of Aruba laugh at the cops in the U.S. for not being able to pound a spike through a criminal's heart for shoplifting a can of baby formula to feed their starving child?" Answer: "Most Definitely Not!" Come on, nobody is laughing at us in other countries for the way we enforce our laws...and even if they were, who cares?! Personally, I'm not worried about what the inhabitants of Kazakhstan or Albania or Andorra or any country, for that matter, think of the U.S. Perhaps the laws need to be changed, but until then, we can't have cops going unchecked and meting out their own justice on the streets. That makes you no better than the criminal. And perhaps you need to read a little further, because I see something completely different on this thread and that is most people disagree with your line of thinking on law enforcement. Maybe it's time for you to retire from the force and go sell Avon or something a little less anger-provoking to you! <quoted text> their are a lot of cops on topix and offbeat and they will not cross the blue line sick, very sick, we have become a police state

I disagree wrote: "Come to Sao Paulo...here they'll drag you behind your car and shoot you!" So that's a good thing????!! Last time I checked, that's rather excessive and a total abuse of power! You really want that here??? Cuz that means that it applies to YOU as well, if you ever forget to wear your seatbelt or you don't come to a complete stop at the stop sign!! Oops, your car speakers were a little to loud....now you're gonna get it!! Here comes the Force with their guns drawn...and bang bang....took care of the problem! Yeah, that makes perfect sense!! HEllO! Think before you talk! <quoted text> Do you end EVERY sentence with an esclaimation point?

Let me tell everyone a little secrect on this forum. We live in a POLICE state. We are all officially under martial law. You can't travel freely in the world unless you are documented and approved by the 'powers that be'. Do you think I'm paranoid? Really?

The right to drive, that is driving for non-commercial purposes, has been reduced to a privilege. Without a car and a license, people cannot function in US society, especially with its urban sprawl. Typically, I refer to this website when I want to post facts about the right to drive: http://www.arkenterprises.com/ritepriv.htm

There is no 'right to drive'. It's considered a privelege by the governing bodies.

3) There is no 'right to drive'. It's considered a privelege by the governing bodies. 1) I look at people who use the phrase, "my friend", with a jaundiced pair of eyes. 2) No, rights are compromised by sheep who thinking that they are bargaining for safety, will have none and will deserve none. 3) The right to drive is considered a privilege merely because the sheep consider it so. For this argument to be complete, one must realize that concealed carry of firearms is state licensed privilege, separate from the second amendment (things that make you say, "hmmmmmmmmmmm?").
