Time to go, council says to embattled Maiden leader

Councilman Michael Moore says fellow Councilman David Boldon is not living up to his oath of office a ' to uphold the laws of the nation, state and county a ' by not paying his property taxes as well as several other "indiscretions" he is accused of and should resign his seat immediately.

Well David, I know MANY people that want you gone, and I have told you personally and on multiple occasions that I cannot believe people were dumb enough to vote you into the town council. So your statement that none of the citizens of Maiden have asked you to resign is a FLAT OUT LIE!!!!
And I wonder if the rest of the council know about the sexual harassment suit you lost. What did that cost you....$50 grand, right?

The suit was by a young lady that used to work for his mother's building supply company. She filed a sexual harassment suit (civil court, not criminal court) against David Boldon and/or the company and won it. David or his mother's company, not sure which, had to pay out the nose to settle it.

It seems to me that "reload" has a personal vendetta against David Boldon. No matter what he's done, if you weren't there, you don't actually know what was done. How would you like it if people were saying all this crap about you?? "Reload" don't you have anything better to do that talk crap? You're trying to play judge and jury and it's not your place. Let God sort it out and you stop worrying about it. It doesn't affect your daily life, does it??

Well "justlistening", I think everyone should take this personally, and yes, it is my place as much as it is any other citizen's place to express displeasure with an elected official. Oh, and I'd say, yes, decisions made by the town council can/could/will/do affect my daily life (and many others) and Maiden citizens don't want this person having a say in any ot their decisions.

Well "reload," I DON'T take it personally. I didn't screw up, he did. Like I said, if YOU didn't do it why do YOU worry about it so much? And if I remember correctly David's not the only member of the town council. He doesn't get the last word on what decisions are made in the Town of Maiden. I suggest you take a look at the other elected officials you have on the town council also. I wouldn't want ANY of them making decisions that affect me. David's not the only one who has messed around on his wife and a thousand other little things he's accused of doing. Why don't the citizens of Maiden ask ALL of the council to resign?? As far as I'm concerned, not a one of them should be sitting on a town council and making decisions that MIGHT affect me or someone else I know. But as usuall opinions are like a**holes, everybody's got one (and some people are one). I'm tired of hearing about it. Fire them ALL and let the "good" citizens of Maiden run the town. Oh, I forgot...the "good" citizens have already been voted onto council. Yeah right! It seems to me that the whole council believes they have done no wrong. The only one they all really have to answer to is God. I pray for all of them and all of us.

Is it so hard to believe that there really are many people that don't like David Boldon and want him off the council?
Who gives a crap if he says he's sorry? He's of low moral character and we want him gone. I'll tell you what my first thought was when I read the letter in the paper where Boldon supposedly appologized...he did not compose that letter himself. If you look at the wording anyone who knows David knew immediately that he didn't write it himself or at least had someone to help him write it.

In most cases when there is a insurance settlement in a civil case records are sealed and parties are sworn to silence as part of the settlement.Was that the case here?
