okay, the motorcyclist was wrong to follow the girls home BUT did he deserve to die because of it?? People with guns seem to be psycho's these days. The dad says self defense. From what?? Supposedly the guy drove past his house, couldn't the dad question him or call the police? No let him end the life of a 21 year old for no real good reason.

Who is the real psycho here? The motorcyclist FOLLOWED the girls home, after HEcutt them off and the girls made obscene gestures to him! Maybe Dad did the world a favor by killing this vermin, with his "stalking" mentality, who knows, he may have murdered a woman or someone else later in life.

You need to read more about this man who is charged with murder. This was not a first incident for shooting at people his "girls" identified as a threat to him. It is also not clear if the girls hit the biker first and set this all in play. Go to: www.onlineathens.com and read the entire story.

the kid was 21 yrs old, worked at Target, had a learner's permit, learning to ride his Kawasaki 250cc, not exactly a Hell's Angel's hooligan. Sad how stories like this bring out the real psychos who knee jerk at the first news article

So the girls must be telling the truth. They would never lie would they Bubbles? Since he is a biker he must be in the wrong right Bubbles? All bikers are bad in your tiny little prejudiced mind aren't they Bubbles?

It doesn't matter what the young man did. Two wrongs don't make a right! This could've been handled a differrent way!(than him being shot in the back!) I hope they prosecute this man to the fullest extent the law allows! My heart goes out to this young mans family!

So, justify why HE followed them home, in the first place. No, didn't think so. This poor guy should have gotten a life, maybe he'd be alive today.

You obviously need your head examined. If this was your child that was shot and killed would you feel the same way? Being followed home is not the worst thing that happen, a father standing at the end of a driveway with a loaded gun waiting to shoot someone is, the tragedy. I'm convinced your an idiot!

Anyone that plans to meet a stranger in the neighborhood and carries a loaded gun to the meeting has a screw loose. This is not known to be a BAD area to live in and this sort of thing is not common. I have to ask myself, why did these girls call dad and not 911 ( ah duh?) Had the officers been notified of the incident instead of daddy this young man would be here today, most likely. These girls knew what daddy would do and had no education about notifying the police. Isn't ignorance bliss!

Again Bubbles you amaze me. Did you ever think that maybe he was following to get their insurance as maybe it was them who hit him not the other way around. And to call him a biker is far from the truth. The kid had the bike only for a couple of weeks and was the first time in his life he owned and rode a motorcycle so I would hardly call him a "biker".
The bike was a Kawasaki 250. Hardy a motorcycle at all.

Friends?? Where did that come from? You are a self centered, prejudiced POS. Not the kind of friend I associate with.

How about this scenario...

Noting that there is evidence of a collision... perhaps the girls hit the motorcycle and took off. The motorcyclist proceeded to drive behind them waiting for them to stop and exchange insurance information. The girls did not stop driving and instead of calling police, called daddy to tell him about a "psycho" following them. Motorcyclist follows them till they pull over and gets blasted.

In this likely scenario the biker is the victim... yet many seem to jump to the conclusion that he deserved to be shot.

This man had no right in shooting the 21 year old. If he was so concerned with the safety of his daughters why didn't they have a cell phone why did they wait to get home to tell daddy instead of calling 911 DO YOU GET IT READ BETWEEN THE LINES this was a teenage game the girls got scared and daddy acted big. You just don't shoot someone if he were a big man he would have acted like one instead he acted like a Movie Star but I don't think he will get a starring role any time soon except in the shower at his local state prison.
