The Alligator was not a threat to anyone? What kind of nonesense is that? All alligators are a threat to all humans that want to enjoy the same body of water. It should be illegal to maintain alligators in public parks and waterways.

The alligator was not a threat to people. It's obvious a bunch of rednecks live in Boerne, and if residents did this to promote tourism, then tourists should know what kind of people live there. I for one will avoid Boerne lake.

The animal could have been safely removed allowing the alligator to continue living its' life and the people that enjoy the lake keep enjoying the lake. Man is stronger than beast. One's use of force instead of calling on the right source(s) to have an animal relocated would have been the more compassionate approach. Who showed wisdom here and respect for all life. No wonder we have global warming. It is mankind's total disregard for the gifts of nature and lack of responsiblity as individuals to preserve an animal's life that could have safely been removed that saddened our hearts. I thought Boerne had the opportunity to move in directions that served the people, wildlife, and preserve nature. People have been drawn there because of its' gifts of nature and peace.

Good....we don't want you there anyway....huck huck....yeah I am "redneck"..lol Bottom line, Alligators can end up in the oddest places....any alligators in Boerne Lake are not going to hurt you....there are way to many fish in there they can feed off of.

The alligator did not ever pose a threat to any one, nor was it past the length of 6ft. Boerne is one of the more wealthy towns you will be able to enjoy in this part of Texas. And Texas Wildlife and Fisheries had plans to relocate the alligator after it reached the length of 6ft.
