http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/hssports/b... Does anybody have a DVR? For those that recorded this footage from Fox 29 and then put it in slow motion, the "Boerne HS" batter was CLEARLY trying to avoid the catcher "Canyon HS" very obvious so why was the Boerne batter ejected? This entire brawl was intiated by canyon, but they have no future plans of disciple from this- this is crazy. If I were the batter I would have filed a formal report with the police against the Canyon Catcher.

Yes, but was he supposed to slide 15 foot from the plate, the Canyon catcher was half way to third base.

Okay, there is no such thing as a mandatory slide run, there is an avoidance rule, and the batter attempted to avoid. So again, where was this intiated by Boerne?

Ok. so what they all got ejected stop crying! the boerne guy should have slid instead of attempting to bulldoze the catcher! Its called courtesy! and yea the catcher shouldn't have thrown his face mask at the runner but...both athletes could've handeled it in a differently sportsmanship wise.

First of all nobody's crying. Can you read, the catcher was 1/2 way down the line, Should the batter have started sliding from 3rd base. He did not have to slide. You must be from Canyon. Did you see the difference in size from both players, yaeh the batter was going to bulldoze the catcher. hahahahahaha. Maybe the catcher should have controlled himself, wonder how many scouts saw this, good luck on a scholorship buddy!!!!!

our catcher isn't that big so what should size matter? and yalls runner was clearly out anyway, so there was no point in him trying to tackle

If the batter was out anyway, then why did the umpire not call him out when he left 3rd, because he is not out until the play happens. So no he wasnt out before the catcher aggresively came after the batter. The batter was going to the right so that um would be avoiding the catcher. I didn't say the catcher was "that big" I said the boerne runner was not as big as the catcher. ummmmmmm.

I understand you cant call him out until the play actually happens, however the runner knew he was about to tagged out and yet still he decided to take a chance and attempt to ram the catcher in hopes to be safe. and he clearly charged the catcher...and didn't run to the right like you said. Did you even go to the game?

in high school they play by mlb rules there isnt a rule saing that u cant drop your sholder..... the boerne runner was trying to avoid the catcher and got knocked over big deal it happens but the canyon shouldn't have thrown his mask on the boerne players face and the boerne player should press charges..... i play baseball all the time and i've never seen that happen not evan in the majors.
