My parents live there. They saw it. They said the woman was as flat as a pancake, that she didnt look human anymore. She landed on her head or on the side of her head. They called me crying and obviously traumatized.

Things must really have to suck to dive off a building.

Whitehall South, at 2800 S. Ocean Blvd., is a high-end condominium building with units for sale from about $600,000 to $3.2 million.

What's the importance of the prices of the units?

and the price of a condo has what to do with this article? NOTHING!! but then so does so much of any article in this paper have to do with the issue at hand, what a waste of newsprint.

I was working there that day and saw her from the 6th floor. She was on her back, face up. You could tell she landed feet first, her legs were mangled and she was bleeding from her ankles. Very sad and scary.

The importance is paramount. This data shows us that the market is still healthy, despite media accounts to the contrary. Recent information indicates that overall economic activity continues to expand, partly reflecting some firming in household spending. However, labor markets have softened further and financial markets remain under considerable stress. Tight credit conditions, the ongoing housing contraction, and the rise in energy prices are likely to weigh on economic growth over the next few quarters. Thank you.

Rich or poor, this poor woman obviously felt hopeless. So little sympathy left in this world. Her pain is now ended.

Perhaps it wasn't suicide and maybe she fell after losing consciousness while on her patio.

Perhaps she was pushed by a neighbor for some personal reason.

Why the suicide assumption?

I was there too and the entire place was blocked off by police. They were conducting a big investigation. And yes, the prices of the condos are irrelevant for this story.

I've read all 20 comments posted to date and the majority of them are just plain nasty. What if she had been your wife, your sister, your mother, your friend? Would you still be making such stupid remarks? I think not.

I will agree that the price of the condos was not appropriate to the article. I can only think the media was trying to say that even the wealthy can have problems that none of us can imagine.

Stop and think how you would feel if you were the one directly related to this situation. I happen to be related to Mrs. Foster's husband - had just seen him over the weekend at a family reunion in Ohio where he had commented "she's been having a lot of problems". What those problems were, I don't know - and neither do any of you. But, I can guarantee HE is feeling the loss and would feel your comments were quite heartless and hurtful.

It's sad to think that you're getting your jollies from someone else's pain. And it's even sadder to think there is more than one person in this world that acts that way.

Sorry - but the name was in the paper. THIS paper. And there was no dirty laundry aired. For all you or I know, she could have had the flu.

At least I didn't joke about the tragedy by saying "Maybe the maid didn't show up that day" or "Is there a unit now available?"

What a sad world we live in.
