Dani u r sooooo right age really doesn't matter
people need to watch their surroundings.
I Know i didnt really know Shambrel that well but i was just getting to. She was funny and nice , and for those who did not know her really missed out on a sweet innocent young lady. She was a good dancer, and she was always there to {catch me when i fall}(La bamba).Mr Wallace please don't comment if you truly have no idea who you are talking about cause from my point of veiw you don't. Shambrel was smart and the total opposite of what you said so please i am sure shambrel's family and friends do not need these coments at this time. So do all of us a favor and don't say anything if u dont know.DON'T MIS JUDGE PEOPLE
Shambrel everbody from dance loves you.
RIP SHAMBREL
I LOVE YOU

I am a 25 year and i see things as you are a driver of the roads but you should see what is in front of you. I know that shambrel, was a kinda of person that made you laugh and could count on. And didn't live on the edge. she was a bright girl who always thought of others. Just remember one thing And it's one my mother always told me Never write something you dont want someone to see that may be hurt by it. Shambrel will be missed but will always be in our hearts ... Just remember that people love her and please dont write things that her family may see and be hurt by it... I love this family and they have been though alot in a short time ... thanks and be kind!!! the florida marlins lost a great fan !!!!

Shambrel will definitely be missed. I owe my dancing skills to her. What hurts the most is that she still had so much in front of her.
How dare you, Mr. Wallace? Your comments on here are quite possibly the rudest comments I've ever come across. This is not the place to rant about your opinion of the carelessness of teens or their intelligence. Nearly everyone (teen or not) is smart enough not to dare a car to hit him or her. That was certainly not the case here. You have no idea how careful Shambrel or the driver was being at the time. You also should not act so vindictively and immature as to call out faults in someone's writing to make them feel less intelligent than you. You're the one who sounds like a child. Lastly, teens do have more ability to judge distance than you give them credit for having. If it were not so, why would they be trusted with their own driver's licenses? Think before you open your mouth next time and be more considerate. RIP Brel

I agree with Lauren, even though i dont know you but you were a friend of Shambrel's and so was i so there fore it is like i known you all along.Mr.Wallace had no right to say what he said but you got to remember that it is JERKS like HIM that dont see the world like we do.Shambrel was a great dancer. She had just started dancing with me and i always knew she was good from the start, Like i said "she was alway there to catch me when i fall". She would DEFINITLY be missed by all who knew her
AND FOR Mr.Wallace she crossed that road many times before so obviously it wasn't her fault.
Like Jenny said please dont open your mouth when all that you say is wrong
cause what you said really hurt alot of people so... i am trying to say this in a nice way but please don't comment about my friend like that so I'd prefer if you stay off this website.

Does anyone have any details on exactly what happend the day Shambrel was struck by the car and went "Home"? I dont' like to use the word die, killed,...I say home because she is now home with her creator and Father.
Was she with anyone else? And did the other person get close to getting hit? Did this other person even see the accident? I hope someone can help answer these questions.
To Shambrels family...God Bless you all at this very difficult time. You are in our prayers and thoughts all day everyday!

I was priviledged to have known this remarkable young woman as her mother is a friend. There are no words to convey how deeply she will be missed. But to her mother, grandmother, brother, family and friends I offer my humble condolences. It is appropriate that she will be laid to rest on Good Friday. Her's was a young life in full bloom - untainted by the garbage that desensitizes some of us as we grow older (as displayed by this idiot Alan Wallace.) May bands of angels sing Shambrel to her rest and to her young friends take heart and allow her legacy to give you courage in this most difficult time.

As a matter of fact Mister Wallace, kids in coral springs are very bright. Some of the students in Boca have their parents pay there way through school. You were probably one of them.Anyhow I understand that you were not talking about Shambrel, but you were not at the scene when Shambrel died. Police reports say that it was Shambrel's chance to walk and the fool who hit her ran the red light. Instead of waiting less than two minutes for the light to change. That is a tid bit of information for you. So before you blame it one the kids, Also blame it on the adults who don't have patience to save their life. She could still be alive today. Our church family is mourning a death because someone could not wait. So until you lose someone to a unreasonable thing like that. Dont say ANYTHING. Plus with you stating statictic does not make you sound educated, sir. It makes you look like a fool cause you were not there.
And just in case you wanted to know I am a 15 year old, in college. Is that educated enough for you?

Police report does not say driver ran a red light. Police report says Shambrel did not have the right of way. Fortunately there were witnesses to the tragic accident.
Obviously the writer never saw the police report.

Shambrel did have the right of way, and she was with someone else. A girl from my school was walking with her and said that they had the crosswalk signal. So, to answer you, Mr. Wallace, Coral Springs students DO have a sense of right and wrong and ARE smart enough to follow road signals. Maybe those of you OLDER individuals need some GLASSES... or maybe you should just get the hell off the road. It is very, very, EXTREMELY insensitive of you to point the finger at this point in time when the hurt and the wounds are so fresh. You didn't have to look down into the casket of a 16 year old girl who had their whole life in front of them. You don't have to bear the pain or burying your friend. So I suggest before you blame, try to walk in OUR shoes.

The friend that Shambrel was with and other witness said that the woman ran the light.

The speed limit on west Sample Rd. is 40 miles per hour. This is a six lane road with a raised median. Even west of Coral Springs Drive, where it is as wide open as I-75 and sparsely travelled, it is still 40mph. The problem isn't speeding. It is the young people who seem to believe a car must stop for you, even when it is 10 feet away and going forty when you step in front of it. I don't know how it is where you live, but out here these kids walk down the street, in the travel lanes, four and five abreast and they will NOT move over if they see a car coming. It's like they are daring you to hit them.
Let me help you out since you seem to be misinformed. Shambrel had a right to think that the car would stop. After all, I as an adult expect people to stop when the light is RED!!! So how about you not speak about something you know nothing about. The reason the lady who hit her did not get a ticket is that the witness to the accident the girl that was with Shambrel has been too traumatized to speak to the police and since Shambrel is dead the only person they have spoken to is the murderer who hit her. Shambrels only mistake was in believing that although she had the right of way and a cross signal that the cars around her would actually stop. So next time rather than reading an article (which by the way is completely WRONG) how about you get the facts prior to commenting on something you know nothing about.
