Well, LeftFL4NC, Arizona isn't the best place to go if you want to escape Hispanics and other minorites. The number of whites in that state as well is shrinking proportionally as minorites increase in higher numbers.

It is what it is. Oh well. I think "LeftFL4NC" means that this person "left Florida for North Carolina". If you look at the location under my name, it says Italy because I travel to Europe often for work. I left Florida too because of hurricane Wilma. It was a blessing because I sold my house in 2006 :-)

Miami is quickly becoming the new Newark.
Miami Dade is now the third world and is one of the poorest counties in the country. They have been flooded with the poorest people from the Caribbean and S. America and those people have brought their poverty and their problems here to us. And they bring crime.
Miami has a problem with Hatian street gangs. Well, if we were smart and didn't let them in than there wouldn't be any Hatian street gangs terrorizing citizens.
This is what happens when you strive for the lie of "diversity".
The Miami Dade disease of stupidity and poor leadership has spread throughout the state.
Here comes a politically incorrect statement. But it is true and has happened elsewhere, like Los Angeles (another third world country). When the white population leaves the economy will leave with them. Hatians and Guatemalans are not going to drive your economy. Most come here have no education. They only bring poverty.
Look at cities like Newark and Detroit and New Orleans. Once thriving cities. But once politicians drove them out with taxes and poor policies these cities became the hell holes they are today.
Sorry, but poor boat people from the Caribbean and South America who come here know nothing about our history and our culture and they don't care to know. They just bring their nation's problems to our shores.

I moved out of South Florida two months ago and have never been happier. I like to think the difference between South Florida and North Florida is like South America and North America. SoFla has extreme overpopulation, horrible schools, bad crime, sky high home and insurance prices, corupt Politicians, and Americans are treated like foriegners in their own country (is English even spoken down there anymore?) I love when some people call this area "paradise", are you on drugs? Why would anyone put up with all this? Like the post said earlier will the last American out of South Florida please bring the flag with them.

I remember it all started around 1980 when that moron Jimmy Carter allowed the 100,000 marielitos in. The crime rate skyrocketed and I bought my first handgun. There was a rape, several breakins and a shooting in the posh Boca neighborhood I lived in. I left in 85. Boca Police fudged the crime rate nums until 1997 when it was exposed and heads rolled. There's no hope folks so get out while you can.

The unasked question is who is going to pay for all the social programs the new "majority minority" demand. Typically white people are the ones paying into the system. If white people leave that means fewer people paying taxes and more on the public dole. Very soon our local governments are going to have huge issues with the welfare and entitlement payments as well as school, fire and police services. What will happen then?

I worked with the public and resented being verbally abused because I did not speak Spanish.When I started having to revert to my "high school French" to communicate with other minorities I just knew it was time to go where folks spoke my native language. The demographics of S. Florida are becoming like those in South and Central America and Haiti. A few rich families at the top and horrible poverty for the rest of the countries. Unfortunately the USA seems like the land of opportunity or the land of the "free lunch" for many illiterate immigrants. When they get here and see how much hard work it takes to get ahead, that is when the crime stats go up. It is easier to rob a house than buy one these days for an illiterate or unskilled worker.

All the news that Fla was as popular as it was until 2005 was due to speculators buying, and sometime moving, to take advantage of the RE boom that is now bust.Anyone who has had their hat handed to them by mis-timing that opportunity and loosing money will probably never want to come back!

How could the decline come as a surprse to anyone? The analysts can say what they will, but the real cause is not what is stated in this article. Why move to an area where you are increasingly treated as an outsider? The Third-World complexion South Florida now has assumed, increase in violent crime, congestion, and the list goes on. I grew up in South Florida and treasure my memories there, however the quality of life is undeniably deteriorating. I'm vert fortunate to have sold my home at the apex of the tri-county real estate market.
