Not necessarily, and yes I have family and freinds that drive that stretch of road at that time of day. Just thought it would be a reporters job to be as thorough as possible and include names when available...and alot easier than me calling all my family & freinds to make sure they'er ok.

Sounds like another careless, idiotic South Florida driver. They're all over the place and I have zero tolerance or sympathy for them. Thank God this moron didn't take anyone else out.

Not only that, but no idea what may have caused it? I mean everyone is quick to jump and say she's an idiot, she was speeding, texting, etc. No one knows. Possibly the woman had a seizure or diabetic episode or something. I will refrain from judging until the whole story is out. Unfortunately, most of you posters will automatically bash her without the facts as she struggles to live in the hospital. Must be nice always being perfect everyone. Once again, guilty until proven innocent.

I have a better idea, rambo. Why don't you call your "friends" and make sure "they're" okay.:) Seriously, I hope your friends and family are okay. This is a sad story.

Out of respect for the family of the injured or deceased, law enforcement agencies DO NOT release names of the victims until the family members have been properly notified.

Would you really care to read about your family member or friend from a newspaper before getting the news through the appropriate means? Wousd you really care for other people (having found out before you) to suddenly call you and say, "Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your (fill in name of family member here)". You would be outraged. There are reasons why names are not released until after the family is notified. I'm sure that if the reporter had the information at the time of the article deadline, you would have read it. Perhaps the reporter will follow up on this story, and post the name for the morbidly curious.

Well now, that would fall under the jurisdiction of the Federal Aviation Administration once the woman is airborne, and they do not give tickets for flying without a pilot's certificate (not a license). Interesting concept, though... would probably generate much needed revenue for outdated radar equipment in Palm Beach County. Hmmmmmmmm .........
