I have received 5 calls from this company in last week. Whenever I mentioned that I was reluctant to use their services, or felt that the $500 credit didn't make sense to me, they hung up. I was hung up on 5 out of 5 times, without ever my being rude or telling them to get lost. This is definitely not a kosher operation. I too will call RCI and complain.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SIT THROUGH A 90 MINUTE SEMINAR ABOUT TIMESHARE OWNERSHIP. PLUS MY CREDIT CARD OFFERS ME FRAUD PROTECTION. THATS WHY ITS A CREDIT NOT DEBIT CARD.
Where did you stay and how are the accomadations?

I get these calls all the time. I am a timeshare/vacation club owner and seasoned in attending 'time share presentations'. My wife and I have been to more than 40(+) of them and find them very entertaining, even though they do the hard sell.
I just took up on the offer presented by TravelOptions or VIPTravelOption both the same company the Orlando w $500 discount card / Coco beach & Cruise for 198.00 plus had 2 more 4/3 vacation tossed in. for a total of 4 trip packages.
I will review the material ( you have 30 days by law ) and cancel if need be.
But, over all it is the SAME O' Sh't We'll go to CoCo beach back to back with Orlando and do our 2 timeshare presentation ( 90 minutes each )
Basically, if your not good with high pressure sales you may want to pass and spend the extra cash.
I will be taking my family on a total of 6 trips by the end of 2013 so, doing the time share presentations if a big cost saver. Plus, we'll be approached by other companies and offered money and other vacation packages.
To speak about the phone solicitor, most of them are under pressure to SELL,Sell,Sell.... and when they take this approach it's not good. But they all have the same script that starts " You bought a vacation package back etc...do you recall attending so and so......" Which is really stupid, I think it be better if they just told me about the end price...and the package deal.
The woman who I spoke with today was very pleasant and got me at a good time where I was thinking about future travel, since I have not been approached by mail or in person and that deal offered on HALF-OFF.com just sucks! Hotel room with 2 beds, and it's not even the hotel in the photo!
These packages are not "A to GOOD to be True" scam. The travel industry works very hard at price points to promote travel and timeshare companies spend millions trying to bring customers into the presentation. They know that the odds are 1 in 10 you will buy...
So, if you like to travel go ahead ... just remember the ringer (timeshare presentation ) is tight but you can say NO Thank you!
PS. Never just leave a (any) timeshare presentation with out "checking out" with the timeshare customer service and having the receipt you attended the presentation.
Good luck and see you in Orlando :)

I just Recieved a call from this company, only they offered me a 2000 dollar credit. They said it was issued by a time share company that we visited in Vegas, which we did attend. I asked several questions and the explanation for why they were crediting me didn't make sense at all. I said I wanted to speak to my husband first, because they offered me a cruise that sounded really interesting to me.The gentlemen I spoke to told me that he will go ahead and contact me in a few days after I had spoken to my husband. I did not think to ask for a call back number. Although this phone call was similar to yours, it was very different too. Either way I don't think I will follow through with this after reading all these comments.

This is not a scam! When are chosen for a promotion its a one time offer, if we let everyone call us back we would not have enough to go around.

Got the same call as all the other comments. Glad I didn't buy it. I am interested in hearing from someone who did buy and how it worked out. Was it worth it? Where the accomodations/cruise as they promised?

Same story as everyone else, I apparently went to vegas and saw a presentation, which I didn't. They thought I lived in Texas, which I don't. I had a $500 travel voucher about the expire. They asked for $297 immediately and then hung up when I said I had to have a call back number.

Just got a call. Was told that I purchased back in 2005 and never used the trip. This would apply to the new trip of 4 days 3 nights in LasVegas, Orlando, and Coco Beach where I would get a voucher for a 5 day cruise. I let him do his sales pitch but when I said. I would need to think it over he got irritated. The cost quoted at first was$297.00 but he said he could lower it to $200. If I was refusing for financial reasons. That's. What made me start to wonder. He said that he worked for the travel company that represents the time share sales. How did he have the authority to lower price? I can't say for sure that this is a scam, but it sure seems to good to be true.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Any legitimate business will provide you a read-ahead of their offer, contract, deals, etc before asking you to provide them a credit card number. In this case, Travel Options refused to provide me any information until after I gave them my number (which I refused to do). The so-called $500-dollar credit" is BS...that is just a way to make you think you have something you really can't use otherwise. The website traveloptions.us.com has so little substantive information, it's a joke. I didn't trust the big talking "manager" on the phone and when I kept insisting on seeing more details ahead of time he hung up on me.

Thank goodness for the internet. Just got the call where a very nice girl did her best to sell me the package. She was obviously reading from a script.

Orlando, Coco Beach, Vegas + Cruise for 4 people for $400. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

When i said I wasn't interested without paperwork she called her manager over who then offered to drop it to $300 and kept pushing me for my credit card information. I said flat out, that i didn't have the funds and he just hung up.

Complete and utter scam. Keep your information safe and don't give it to anyone.
