I have been a volunteer at this facility for three years. I have seen nothing but kindness, love, and compassion there. Sure some animals come in with difficult conditions to treat, but they do the best job they can. The cat room, containing no cages, should be a model for the entire country!

This is an excellent shelter! It is clean and the animals are well cared for. I think the present management is doing a great job and a lot of other shelters across the country can learn something here.

I have a puppy that I rescued Labor Day weekend. She was put out of her home by a neighbor down the street. She has been shot at but luckily the bullet grazed her back only. According to my neighbors, she was homeless for two weeks. I was so distraught that my best friend walked her day and night, as well as, replenished her food for the entire weekend (Labor Day) that I was out of town.
I have gotten her healthy and she is clean. She has no ticks nor fleas and good temperment. The problem is: I had only planned to foster care her for a month until she got healthy. I need a no kill shelter to take her to so that she will be safe. People in the neighborhood began to throw things at her. I don't want her hurt nor put to sleep; however, I teach night school 4 nites a week and take two graduate courses. As a result, I don't have the time or energy to keep her.
Currently, she lives in my bathroom. She has pillows and stuffed animals; however, I am gone from 5:30 AM til 10:30 PM Monday thru Thursday nites. I don't want to leave her and I cannot leave my job to walk her and replenish her food.
Please help! My email address is therib@dadeschools.net
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Don't know if you adopted your dog yet, but I too am in a position that I must give up a dog. I'm moving and no dogs aloud. I have a beautiful female Siberian Husky, bi-eyed and not fixed. I had hoped to breed her one day and produce beautiful pups to sell, but my situation has changed. She's only 1yr 4 mos old (approx.) and she's a pure breed. I would love to give her to a loving home with a yard, for free. I would really have to put her in the hands of a shelter, even a no kill one. Anyone seriously interested, please write me @ stvecar1@bellsouth.net

i have recued a dog last week that was tied to a tree and left for dead. its medium size black n white cocker spaniel. the nicest dog ever. he was extremely malnurished and fuul of dirt and fleas. i am doing th best i can to revive him but unfortunately, i can not keep him due to my H.O.A and me already owning three dogs. just by looking at him,i can say that he really needs tlc. i am afraid to give him to certain shelters because they will put him to sleep and this little champion has fought to hard to stay alive to be put down now. if anybody can find it in their hearts to take this little bundle of joy under their wings and provide a loving and safe environment for him, not only will i be grateful but you would have given him a chance to show his true potential and keep his life. i am not an advocate of euthanizing an animal and will do all i can to help in getting him adopted, including delivering him to his new home and supplying the new owner with a kennel for the pup to sleep in. if you are interested,PLEASE WRITE l.girgis@hotmail.com- Laurice

The NK is an agenda being pushed by the doggie clubs and their breeders.

Do your research, folks !
