The ABI will not do anything to the officers even if they did something wrong. I also wonder what happens to an individual that makes them want to do marijuana and controled susbstances. Life is hard but it wold be better if the man had gone to church and sought the fellowship of God and had a church family. If he was serious about God the church would have detected it and helped them get a job and maintain their lives until they could build up, get a better home, transportation and life. God is standing there with open arms just begging folks like him.
In regards to the officers shooting him, they had no choice and there is not anyone that I know in my life that is going to pull a gun on law enforcement. This is a rare thing.

This is really sad to hear, bit I'm glad that he is off our streets. A lunatic like that? There is on no telling what he was capable of.

And there's no telling what the jackboots will do either. They plant guns, they file outright lies in reports, you name it and the jackboots have done it.

And the Common Man looks the other way.

No doubt there are some "rogue cops" out there, but the vast majority are hardworking and severely underpaid, for putting their lives on the line each and every day, esp with what they have to deal with out there on our mean streets. I know the guy was on his own property and perhaps one could even make the arguement that he was protecting his private property, however on the flip-side, common sense should prevail here and he should have known it's just plain dumb to go and point a gun at a cop! I also agree with another poster.. why does anyone want to do drugs when they know full well what it will do to them, esp meth. There are a lot of things in my own life that are not perfect, but no matter how down or depressed I might get, there is nothing so bad as would make me even want to take a hit of meth or any other illegal drugs for that matter. If it's for kicks or just because they like getting high, I say find something positive to focus the energy on. Want a real high, try sky-diving! People need to leave the drugs alone. That's just one little thing that's wrong with our society now-a-days. Glad nobody else was hurt in this incidence.

You point a gun at a police officer and you get what you get, most people would have reacted the same way. My prayers go out to the man's family though.

the sheep never like the sheep dog until they need him.then they all hide behind him. Terrible situation but it is what it is. Lesson #1 Dont point a gun at law enforcemnet. Lesson #2 Dont point a gun at law enforcement. Swecurity camera's, police scanner, drugs and gun. This subject was predetermined to have a gun fight. These Deputies got to go home to thier families. No Law Enforcement Officer goes to work wanting to pull the trigger, However you have to have the right mindset to act when the moment comes to defend lives including your own. God Bless everyone involved including his family.

TardMaster= I suggest you go ride along with a Law Enforcement Officer. I bet you would never do that because your to scared and you probably have a problem with authority. It's ok the job isnt for everyone. I suggest you back your comments up with facts and stop watching so many Hollywood movies. The streets are real. I hope one day you will grow up and respect the ones who put thier life on the line for you.

Never do ANYTHING in front of a jackboot, because there's enough laws on the books that all the jackboot has to do is haul you in and the corrupt DA will scour the books for a charge. It'll cost you time and obscene amounts of money.

You know it and I know it and even the copsuckers know it.

Cops are on the Job in & Out of Uniform 24/7. There Family's are in Danger 24/7. The Cop Get Sh*T On In All Direction On & Off The Job! The Pay is Not Worth seeing a Friend Died on The Ground. The People That are to afraid to shoot there self call a cop & Point a Gun at Him Knowing His Job Taught Him To Defend His Self as well as the Public whom, talks bad about Him & Spits on Him for trying to Do Right. When a Cop is Off He could get a Call to go In, to save a Sorry Ass that He knows is Sorry but You know What THE COP goes Out & Saves that Sorry Ass. P.S. Tard Master; Grow Up There is Bad & Good in All Walks of Life. Prayers Go Out to All Involved.

Don't mind the TardMaster.. he's from Prospect. Not much going on up there in Giles County, so he has to come on here to make a few snide remarks.

So... they couldn't find who they were looking for and were looking around the place...? This guy might not have heard the deputies introduce themselves at the door. He might not even have known the people snooping around his house were officers. He shows up with a gun in hand for his own self protection and was shot immediately? How do sheriffs deputies prove they are who they say they are to people? Also... what's up with announcing that a surveillance system and a police scanner were found? I have these things at my home too. They are not illegal. They are not even suspicious. Why is it relevant to list these things found by investigators? If deputies don't want their movements and radio traffic to be monitored, they don't have to use the common and unencrypted frequencies.

Well better off not pulling a gun or weapon on a officer.. knowing they gonna react with instinct! Sounds like the man made a mistake according to the news article... like i said according to the news. Which is probaly informed correctly by the sheriff..
