what about chadbourn ,quality of life ,nice people? village life?

Hello, We are thinking of moving to NC and saw this home for sale 176 stack turner road and we love it! But we know nothing about all of NC besides Chadbourne! Could you help us? What is Chadbourn like? Is a safe area? Is it a high crime area? Would it be safe to be alone at home during the day? Can we leave our doors unlocked, windows open? I've seen other homes in the area with alarm systems on them! should I take that as a hint of some sort? Also, was wondering about how hot and humid does it get? My wife has bad back and arthritis will we be sorry! and what does private health care cost? Anyone know a good insurance plan inexpensive? Would anyone be will to tell us the prices of electric, gas, water, home insurance....any other expenses we should be aware of? Thank you for your help...

dont move there.. chadbourn,tabor city is redneck hell..at least move to whiteville.. its better..

Chadbourn the town part is not a good place to be, but the country part is great. I live in between Chadbourn, Whiteville, and Tabor City, in a place known as Beverdam. Like I said the country part is not so bad. There is not much to do there though. I did not grow up there but my husband did and he is related to half the people there, and it seems normal to him. I was just shocked when I moved there and the only thing the kids have to do is cruze Wal-mart. We used to not have to lock everything but times are getting bad everywhere. About the alarm systems if it says HOOKS alarms my sister-in-law probable sold that alarm system and if you ever meet her you would understand. She could sell the devil a snow cone.There are no jobs. That is the main problem and the GP plant is closing down now, so there are no plants to work at. My husband and myself have to drive a truck long distant in order to stay there. If we did not already own our land I don't think we would be there. The weather is nice, every once in a while you have to worry about a huricane but its not too bad. The humidity is not bad for a SE state. If you live in the west it will be hard to get used to but you'll make it.

have you researched chadburn? go to www.waytv3.com research Carol Marie Batten Dowless. mother of 4 who lived there and was murdered 3 years ago by her husband and they have just now figured out who done it last week but arrest has yet to be made. i was associated with this family some time ago so i have followed this case. plus i use to live there. nothing has changed. small town, things get brushed under the rug and then forgotten. several children has went missing from this town over the past 10 years yet you nor anyone has probably not heard of any of it. that's the way this town is. i live in oklahoma now and i wouldn't move there for anything. i live in a big city with tons of crime and i have several daughters. i feel much safer here i promise. don't move there! if you already have get out with your family why you still can.

You are full of!!! Not everyone in Chadbourn is redneck, you must be one to recognize another, and I am guessing Bladenboro is the same, all 250 people there.
