I imagine they'll probably have no trouble getting a teaching job in Paragood like the last one did. They'll hire anyone down there.
Obviously!

The gun was in her car, give me a Daam break!! Who hasn't taken their handgun and left it in their vehicle at work? Most people carry a gun in their vehicle at all times, specially when you live here. It's not like she had it in her classroom, I would bet it was a mistake by her part, unlike the other teacher who had sex with a student....MULTIPLE times!!!

I find that difficult (read: impossible) to believe.

Well people uare human! Every teacher had a background check before teaching! You cannot judge what people are going to do! Blytheville hires a lot of people and it is not easy finding teachers in the area. I am sure no one wanted these things to happen!
We do have background checks. The one with the gun did not intend on having it at school. She lives out of town, maybe an hour away, and it accidentally got shoved in her car like the rest of her books, luggage and halloween party. She travels all over the place. How can anyone expect her to know what's in her car when stuff is stacked up in her car?

Thank you for sticking up for Ms. Jessica! She actually does not live in Blytheville. She lives in a small town close to Jonesboro. Imagine....small town, country girl, first year teaching, Christian, never in trouble... The school didn't even want to listen to her explanation. She is a straight up honest person. Never tells a lie but for some reason she gets treated like this.

What's worse is that I've seen other teachers yank students around and never get in trouble for it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS SCHOOL?? The ones who don't do anything wrong are treated like criminals and the ones who actually hurt kids don't!

Jessica McCormick was not arrested. She never stepped foot into a cop car, or placed in a cell, or handcuffed! I was there at the court and heard it all. The judge even said she was on her side.

Honey child, I know what the paper and news said. I also know Ms. McCormick and was secretly in the courtroom when stuff when down. I was able to blend in the courtroom. The judge is on her side and so am I. Many people are coming together to support her because she is known to be a good person and would never do anything to hurt anyone intentionally.

That is not an excuse. Your gun should NEVER accidentally get put somewhere. You should always be aware of where your firearm is. It isn't a book that mistakenly gets shoved in a bag. It isn't a toy to be misplaced. Also, if you don't know the laws of a gun then don't buy one. Way too many accidents happen with firearms for people to be ignorant with them.

She certainly is NOT ignorant. When an administrator like Gregg Yarbrough says its okay and he is your boss...your bound to get confused. You cannot tell me that you have never made a mistake. Nor can you tell me that you have NEVER accidentally brought something to school or work.

I agree it isn't a toy. She did not misplace it. The last time she had it in her hands she was putting it away in her closet to be locked up. It was a brand new gun, not loaded, and bullets were nowhere near it. Even had it in the case it came in. She was pretty responsible with it.

She has criminal records or the school would have never hired her. She's a first year teacher at BLYTHEVILLE and I don't blame her for wanting protection from all the crime that goes on over there. Especially when the school doesn't protect teachers who stay late after school.

"She has NO criminal records." I had to correct a mistake.

Yes, ignorance is when you think you can take a gun on school property because a school official tells you. It is a LAW that he is not able to change. And yes, I can honestly say I have never made the mistake of bringing a GUN to work even in my vehicle. Or bringing anything that would get me into any kind of trouble. Not to mention not very many people would know if I owned a gun or not. Keep in mind that ignorance is just a lack of information.

Honey I am black and the courtroom was filled with black folks with the exception of a few whites one. I said it that way because A. I didn't want to offend anyone who might be touchy to skin color. B. To see who else would catch and understand what I meant.

What she did is against the Law and Gregg Yarbrough can't give anyone permission to break the law.
