Does anyone know if this girl was killed by the cops or Dr. Butler? Butler is prescribing methadone, hydros, etc. and numerous other narcotics to people from Blytheville and Manila, via Manila clinic downtown and nurse practioner. Many have overdosed in that town.

BLYTHEVILLE -- A doctor who lost her license in April over allegations she prescribed excessive amounts of medications to five patients -- including one who died -- has had her license reinstated.

Dr. Judith Butler of Blytheville appealed the decision by the Arkansas State Medical Board, asking to introduce additional evidence in the case, believing there had been numerous errors in her hearing, said her attorney, Jim Harris.

Harris said he also sued in Mississippi County to have the board's revocation order lifted.

In May, the board issued a finding saying Butler prescribed controlled substances for two patients while she was hospitalized in Memphis, Tenn., and failed to pay a $5,808 fine the board required of her after a previous investigation.

The board also accused Butler of failing to keep adequate records for seven patients receiving pain medicine, did not report a 2003 misdemeanor alcohol-related conviction in Nebraska and failed to provide her patient records for monitoring by the board.

The board had hired Dr. J. Carlos Roman, a pain specialist, to review Butler's patient records. Roman wrote in a report that some of Butler's patients abused drugs and alcohol but Butler continued to give them narcotics.

A 37-year-old patient identified as M.I. suffered from ankle pain, back pain, depression and had a history of alcohol abuse, according to Roman. Butler prescribed 100 Xanax tablets, 120 methadone tablets, 180 Lorcet tablets, and 50 oxycodone tables, Roman said. Five days after filling the prescriptions, the patient died from "multiple drug intoxication," Roman said.

Butler maintains the patient did not die from her prescriptions. Describing herself as a "crippled old grandma," Butler had told board members in April she was the target of an overzealous Arkansas State Police trooper.

"We just didn't feel that she was given a fair hearing in Little Rock and it would appear that after the board reconsidered their thought process had changes as well because why else would they agree to reinstate her license?" Harris told the Blytheville Courier News. "I'm confident they knew there were discrepancies in the investigator's custody and control of her medical records."

In an order dated June 27, the medical board agreed to reinstate Butler's license if she dropped her court appeal. As part of the deal, Butler agreed to give up her permit allowing her to prescribe "scheduled medications," which include narcotics. The order shows Butler can reapply for the license if she presents evidence of her record-keeping and pays the board back for all costs from preparing and holding her April hearing.

In my opinion Dr Butler does not need her license back. I went to her to personally check out her pain pill script writing. I had a loved one on pain pills real bad, plus there had been a recent death where I live because of pain pills she wrote the scripts for. I complained of a little pain and she started writing the scripts for 3 and 4 months supply. She is a menace to society. She writes the scripts freely to keep and get patients. Otherwise she has no legitimate patients. They all go to her to get the pills. Some of her patients are addicted bad. The others are Dr shopping, to get the pills to sell. If you get a script for 30 pills, and you sell them for $10.00 a piece. You do the math. That's a lot of money. They sell the pills to get money for meth also.
Her license needs to be pulled forever. She's killing people in my opinion, and there will be more. All Dr's write scripts for pain pills, but their reasonable about it. She blatantly abuses her script writing privileges. Something has got to be done about her. I hope and pray you're the one to do it.

i said a while back that Arkansas does not keep records for Doctors who have been sued or killed someone. They don't even do a background check on Board Certified Doctors. I said every doctor that has killed someone will come to Arkansas to practice because Arkansas doesn't require malpractice
insurance either. Been there, Done that

sounds like she moves from state to state when things get too hot where she is. Using a nurse practitioner is a very sneaky way of peddling drugs. Just go to Manila on check day and see for yourself all the people out of Blytheville there. Van loads of them. How do I know they are from Blytheville? They are all black. Some cars with NO licence plates.....interesting. Killing people via a medical licence must pay good money. The clinic there is known as the dope house.

My point exactly. Why is the clinic still operating after she is gone? I asked if anyone knew who killed that woman. The Dr. Butler or the police? Are the police allowing the clinic to stay open? Who is?
She is gone so who does that leave? I'll give you one guess.

I meant to say the Butler clinic (refering to Butler) or whatever it is called now. Maybe in her memory. Don't know. The clinic should have been shut down even while she was alive but it is still open! She was alive when she started a practice in Manila not that long ago.
So who has let both clinics stay open?

If you want to clean up Blytheville go after the biggest drug dealers in your town. The old Butler clinic and Prozac Pete. He gives out a lot more than just Prozac.

Shaneyfelt has a clinic in Manila that she ran with her husband, he passed away and she still operates it under another doctor. Butler ran her stuff out of her house. To my knowledge they had nothing to do with each other. Shaneyfelt sees a lot of people including people from Blytheville because alot of the doctors here don't see new patients. I've never heard anything bad about Shaneyfelts clinic. I think you are taking old information and trying to put your own spin on it. Butler is dead, leave her be. Obviously she has paid for the way she took care of people. Starting crap on Topix is not a good way to support this community. You are just trying to slander someone and you don't even know the facts.

Butler was the Doctor in Manila after Doc Shannyfelt died. I know because I went to her. She had a nurse practioner who is Doc's wife doing all the work in Manila while she was in Blytheville. You didn't answer my question. Did Butler kill that girl or did the popo? Don't get off the subject about Butler. I knew her personally and even cashed some of her hot checks she wrote me. Now did she do it or the popo? The clinics are still open are they not?

Dear you are off your rocker. Please don't get me on the grammar train with you because you have seriously derailed. You are starting crap where there is none to start. You are clueless when it comes to the subjects you discuss. You are a joke on every board you post on. No one missed the boat. You are speaking about things you do not know facts on then or now. You started a post on a woman that has been dead for over a year and then tried to re neg on your original statement and say you were talking about Shaneyfelt's clinic. You are trying to start crap for the simple fact that you want to argue. Sorry but I'm over this asinine conversation.
