What some are not full time. If you make 80,000 you must have to work alot of overtime

what about lay-offs? I heard they do, but it could just be a rumor. I was also wondering if their insurance is good.

Entry level is about 16.10...plus monthly, and quarterly bonueses that bump you pay to about 25-27 and hour, and ovetime depends on which department you work in. The best thing about Ipsco is the employees they keep...dotn worry about drug-heads working there...they're pretty serious about that.

Saw on another page where someone said Russians bought out Ipsco. Have you all met the new owners? Wonder if they will make changes in the plant.

Saw where other man said Ipsco and the Nucor plants are no. 1 in safety. They make ya'll go to safety meetings on your days off? I guess it is good to be safety minded cause I've heard steel plants can be dangerous to work in.

You're all on crack! That is not a safe place, it's dirty and it sux. The management is horrible. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

can someone with steel mill experience get a job there without going thru the temp place. My hus. is thinking about changing jobs, but we do not want to go w/o insurance until he's hired on. Is there any way to avoid starting thru Temps?
